Firstly, All high streets ruined it for themselves with greed from car parking charges. We ,as car drivers avoid paying to spend our money.nRetail parks with Free parking is where most people will go.nWe went to Specsavers and had to park here for being the closest. The car park was easy to get in, but could do with better signage for the exit.nWe were parked for 1 hour 20 minutes and paid £1.50. Not bad, but not free. You can park for free for 1 hour. We’ll try to do that when we pick our glasses up next week.nWellington Square was pretty nice to be fair, roomy and clean.nThere needs to be some shops though, seemed a bit depressing, with lots of empty, advertising covering shop windows.nThe bakery was a decent find, but otherwise, it’s fairy forgettable.nBoils down to greed again , I suspect the council charge a fortune to the shop keepers.
A well-spaced car park automatically operated via barriers. There are 800 parking spaces available and the first 1 hour is free. All payment modes are accepted at the payment machine. All you have to do is key in your car registration number. It served the whole of the Wellington Square Shopping Centre.
A nice place. Good selection of shops, both local and franchise. Big convenient parking with affordable prices. Good commute with both private car and bus. I really enjoyed my time there.
After a Brilliant show at the globe, the exit process was a nightmare. Huge queues for 2 payment machines, so decided to just pay on exit. But having waited nearly 2 hours to exit. This carpark is poorly designed and staff should be directing traffic to keep it moving, rather than standing around like lemons.nThis has ruined what would have been a great day out. Will definitely not be visiting the Globe theatre again, which is a shame as it seemed like a beautiful theatre, and I would like to have seen other shows there.
Friendly, well organised shopping centre. Good bakers and cafés, too.
