Called in tonight after hours, they had shut up for the night and were closing down. Knocked on the glass as I needed something to help with my 1 year old daughter's teething, she is normally a fantastic sleeper 7-7 every night, but only slept for 2 hours last night and we just couldn't understand why. She then wouldnt sleep again tonight and started putting her hands in her mouth which then made us realise it was teething pain... The gentleman opened the pharmacy back up again to help us out with something, top class, thank you, a lot of people would have been rushing to get home and turned us away... My little one is now asleep and looks comfortable and peaceful for the first time in 2 days... Thank you so much, I hope you have a cracking 2024 kind sir x
Me and my partner Amin have regular prescriptions from this chemist and the staff are so helpful and have the prescriptions ready so it’s rare we have to wait.nnWe are always greeted warmly and staff and knowledgeable but discreet.The main pharmacist Jay works so hard and I hope he gets recognised for it!nnIt’s a small chemist with not many staff so you’ll occasionally get locums that don’t know regulars.There are also the annoying people who don’t realise they need to order meds until they are down to their last like me and my partner and staff are always kind about that.nnThe staff are there to dispense meds and it’s not fair for anyone to blame them for unsigned prescription or stock supplies. They do a great job.
My review is mixed as the pharmacists here are great and helpful.nnUnfortunately they are let down by a couple of awful members of staff, my poor Dad was spoken to like dirt by one of the ladies there and came away feeling un listened to and confused about his prescription.nnI would avoid this place as you don't know who you are going to get at the counter, as I said some are fine.
Having been a regular customer for mine and my partners prescriptions for several years, we had a really bad experience with a particularly rude and defensive locum pharmacist who we'd never met before. I logged an official complaint, no response. The branch manager is just dismissive and abrupt and unconcerned. I now dread every time I have to ring for and pick up our prescriptions. Most of the other staff are lovely, friendly, helpful. But since when has it been acceptable for a locum manager, after a slight disagreement wherein myself and my partner were in no way abusive, to refuse to give your essential medications? The branch manager is often quite bad tempered and unhelpful.
Good service and friendly staff. Great opening hours and convenient. Very busy, so be organised and order repeat meds in good time.
