Randomly stopped at the services had zero expectations but WOW ! FANTASTIC had fish chips and gravy THE best fish and chips in a long time. Cooked to perfection. The food area was spotless and so we're the tables. You won't be disappointed 5*****
Sausages are horrible can't even cook an egg properly
given it's 'world famous' for its chips, you'd expect them to be pretty good, not cold, dry husks. The chicken pie had grey slime sitting on soggy stuff that may have been pastry... Given the staffs' reluctance to serve, I guess they know the quality of the food would only be a disappointment and were trying to delay the inevitable
Best fish and chips you can get
Wasn't sure about trying the service station stop, but glad I did. Both the fish and chips were really good, the tea was Yorkshire, which was great. Finally the staff were really friendly, even picked up my old Lancashire accent. Location was bearable ... It's a motor way service station, so can't really object.
Maybe it was a bad batch, or this "new, North Atlantic fish" Google 'Scum", but not great fish n chips. Not great at all.
Clean place..good to have food here.
Not a great place to stop for breakfast. Poorly cooked and some items cold. Would not return.
Jusy had the best breakfast ever i had the vedge option. Passed the hash browns onto my partner and have kept to my diet.thank you steve and the ladies.
The fish was greasy the Tartar sauce was out of a packet and the chips were not light and crispy defiantly not the best Harry Ramsden I have been too
