You can not fault this place at all. Food was beautiful and delicious. The service was friendly, professional and yet still personal. The atmosphere was just gorgeous, even with the windy weather it felt so relaxing and comfortable under the giant parasol. We had sandwiches, which came with crisps and a lovely salad. And then carrot cake and cream tea. Everything is fresh and tasted perfect. Service is fast as it can be for freshly made food! And the prices were super reasonable. Not too low and not too high. Honestly can't recommend a visit enough. It's the best café in the area. For a more mellow, calm experience, versus the busy, child centric cafe at the top of the area in Cockington Court.
A delightful Tea Rooms in the quaint village of Cockington located between Torquay and Paignton on the English Riviera. The homemade cheese scones are, as Tina Turner would say, "simply the best, better than all the rest." Excellent service in beautiful surroundings. You could sit in the sunshine here and read my book "Professor Harry Parker and the Tunnels of Argonaut Bay" by Steve Pick available on Amazon kindle!
A beautiful gem in this amazing village of cockington in Torquay ! Well worth a visit staff are very helpful & so delightful to sit in the garden next time we will have sandwiches! Beautiful surroundings x so we came back for a second visit and ordered amazing sandwiches!
This tea garden is just incredible! I requested a table for seven of us last minute and this was accommodated, we were offered a table in the most sunny part of the tea garden, which was perfect as it was a bit of chilly day. The cream teas, coffees, and cakes that we ordered were lovely, the service was incredible, very attentive and friendly, and to top it off, the tea garden is dog friendly which meant a delightful experience for us dog lovers! Would not hesitate to visit again, and we are actually really looking forward to returning. Honestly, could not recommend this place more!
We had a cream tea and a cheese tea, absolutely excellent, I would genuinely say the best I have ever had and with the quality far surpassing the great price. Lovely location, comfortable seating and surrounds and on point staff. The tea was excellent also
Beautiful scenery, clean and well maintained tea room, afternoon tea was delicious, even caters for dogs ,ours loved the pub cake
CREAM TEA ....This place was rated highly pre covid, then closed down, now reopened with new owners, renovated, massive 5Mx5M covered heated outdoor patio area, wrought iron tables, larger than average scone, proper homemade jam with very high fruit content, ample clotted cream and beautifully presented, it's a winnerFood: 5/5
Lovely place for tea and scones! Homemade and fresh tasting definitely not something you find anywhere else in the world. Liked that you could sit outside and enjoy the garden/water area it was very aesthetically pleasing and had good vibes. The cotted cream was the highlight!
Great place, excellent afternoon tea. Highly recommended to spend a good hour in this beautiful environment, in confortable outdoor setting.Food: 5/5
Called in and had baked spud with a pot of tea. Was very busy on the day and was lucky to get a table straight away. Everything was just great and really enjoyed the food. Toilets are nice, fresh and clean. Staff are friendly and dog friendly too. Would certainly recommend... Parking: Parking is less than 50 metres away, meter payment required.
