With Watford being home to Wetherspoons Head Office you would expect The Moon Under The Water to be a flagship pub, sadly not. 9:30 on a Saturday morning and two of the Real Ales on show had run, someone not doing their job properly. As always the toilets are upstairs, it would have been nice if they had put a notice at the bottom of the staircase to say the Gents was out of order and so saving on the trip upstairs to then come back down to use the Disabled toilet.
Hi great place to eat/drink. But if it's local art you're after then visit Dacorums creative Art Gallery in the Marlowe's centre Hemel Hempstead.here are some photos.
Really enjoyable visit. Old fashioned Wetherspoon. Nice staff, very clean and comfortable. Food excellent. Fabulous prices. Win Win!
Enjoyed a long leisurely lunch and some drinks in this lovely spacious and clean venue. All the staff are excellent and provide a friendly cheerful service. The food and drinks were very good in quantity and quality and are at a very good price too. So despite the cost of living hike, it is great to be able to socialise in a great venue. Congratulations to all who make it so good and wish them each and everyone personal and professional success.

Watford playing at home so the place was packed out but we managed to get a table. We ordered using the app and we didn't have to wait long for our order. The new hot chicken wings and spicy rice was really good and the refillable coffee is good value.
I had such a lovely time over there with my Bestie Good food, drinks and wonderful atmosphere Definitely we need visit this place again
What’s nice about here is that there’s plenty of staff, meaning service at the bar is always fast and tables are cleared regularly. Fortunate, given how busy it was on a Sunday morning! It’s everything you’d expect from the chain but being clean makes it a pleasant place too.
Very busy on the Saturday, which, for me personally, is great . I'm very social. Despite being busy, there weren't any delays or any problems with my orders. The only downfall is that the toilets need to be regularly cleaned. Most of the cubicles had no toilet roll. Obviously, that's a problem.
The largest weatherspoons I've been in, was super busy on a Saturday night, struggled to get a drink and find a place to sit but got a table in the end for our friends. Huge selection of drinks and spirits behind the bar. Staff were friendly and clear. Also got a round ordered to the table so didn't have to waste time waiting at the bar. Two bouncers on the doors who check ID before entry.
