Excellent well equipped and ultra clean and tidy,  Lovely host.

What a lovely little cottage to stay in!  I was met by the owner upon arrival and shown around the cottage. Lovely and spacious with all the cottage-y charm you could hope for. We stayed in the smaller cottage Riverview I believe and it was just fantastic, had everything  we needed to make it a comfortable stay. Like a home away from home! It's in a lovely quiet area too. Lots of wildlife around as well which was so nice, loved watching the little rabbits in the mornings in the field opposite and the birds outside the kitchen window

We have just arrived home from a most wonderful family holiday at the Weardale holiday cottages.n‘The stables’ was a very well kept and clean cottage, filled with everything we required throughout our stay. Our hosts, who were graciously ready to assist whenever necessary were so accommodating with everything we needed including extra freezer space, storage space…nThe grounds were tremendously well looked after and a pleasure to view. The kids loved observing the fish swim around in the lovely fish ponds.nwe would definitely visit again and would recommend anyone looking for a scenic holiday coupled with clean and comfortable lodging should definitely give this a try.

We have just returned back after 12 days at Weardale Holiday Cottages, We had the most amazing holiday experience ever, especially with the wonderful and friendly hosts Val & Maurice, always so helpful and available to make our stay so enjoyable.nThe cottages were so nice clean & comfortable, the beautiful gardens and ponds kept the children entertained at all times.nCan't wait to visit again.nFamily Stern

Very Clean, well presented, peaceful cottage. We stayed in Riverview. Plenty big enough for 2 adults, one 14yr old and 11 yr old plus a Labrador. Well equipted. Full size fridge and freezer bonus. Lovely garden area and the pool log cabin was a big hit with the 5 teens. Our friends stayed in The Stables...again very clean and well equipted. Great location to explore Weardale, Hamsterley Forest, Barnard Castle and Middleton-in- Teesdale.
