Disappointed. The actual meal took ages to be delivered and when it arrived..well...I've had a lot of Jamaican influences growing up with Jamaican friends and eating at theirs plus a few interracial marriages in my family so I know Jamaican food. I ordered Jerk Chicken but what I got was NOT what I'd call Jerk, none of the amazing smokey flavours you usually get what I had was drab flame grilled with a tart, tangy sauce. Sadly even the dumplings were dry and not moist. Still hungry
Always a bit weary about ordering food from a place I've never tried before. My mother in law told to try here and I'm so glad I did. Ordered a medium and large mutton curry, fried chicken, mutton soup and some dumplings. The curry and the soup had so much flavour, and the perfect amount of spice, it just crept up on you leaving you with a nice tingle on your lips. Plenty of meat in both dishes and it was so tender, amazing. I wish I had ordered a pot of the mutton gravey, I like a lot of gravey and just felt the the rice to curry ratio was a bit off but that's my personal preference. Can't fault our meal, will definitely be back.
We went here for the first time, the curry goat was mild/hot very tasty and my fav Oxtail was the same and the meat just fell off the bone! The portions were good, so definatly worth a visit. Location can be a bit tricky to park, as its on the main road, don't be put off by satnav directions as it may take you to the carpark, but then you have to walk to the main road, parking signs on wall then walk to the restaurant 2mins and its located upstairs. You will not be disappointed!
Will not be returning. Terribly run business.. zero customer service.. too much waiting and too much robbery. Dreadful food concerned for the food safety of this place! Stairways and restaurant stink of grease and you leave smelling like the place super off putting need a good deep clean
Ordered it to be delivered to my dad's house to cheer him up and he was so so so happy with the food.. mutton rice and peas, salad, fried dumpling, jerk wings and chocolate cake he said it was delicious and very tasty quality meat. The lady over the phone was so lovely to talk to aswell. I'm going to be ordering for myself very very soon.
THIS IS SOME OF THE BEST CARRIBEAN FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD. I am not being dramatic when I say that this food was an experience and the portions were perfect I had oxtail curry chicken and chicken soup from here and every single dish was incredible I never write reviews but for this place I actually had to do that anyone who reads doesn’t miss the Oppertunity to try it.
Ordered from just eat. Food was ordered at 7.45pm. Food was meant to be delivered at 9.05pm at latest. Called restaurant at 9.30pm and was told delivery driver was on the way but couldn't tell me the reason for delay. Called again at 9.45pm as Food still hadn't arrived. Again they couldn't say what had happened but told me I could get compensation from just eat as the food was so late. Food arrived at 10pm. Tried to get compensation from just eat as advised by this restaurant but Wayanns LIED and told just eat that they had included extra items in my order to compensate which they didn't. So this morning I contacted just eat and received a full refund. One thing the Food being late but feeling you had to LIE??
Disappointed tonight as had to wait over 2 hours for my food. Did begin writing a review stating that my food had not turned up just as the door knocked. Still not happy with the waiting time and lack of contact, however I will comment and say the delivery driver was very polite and apologetic
Ordered the large curried mutton, steamed veg, rice and peas with 2 festival. Food was delivered at the stated time. It arrived piping hot and the portion size was massive. It was absolutely amazing, you even managed to make steamed cabbage taste delicious. Friendly delivery man as well. 10/10
Ordered from Wayanns for the 1st time this evening. A little apprehensive as most carribean food in the area doesn't offer much to shout about, but I'm so glad I tried this one. I ordered the lge mutton curry rice & peas & veg. Plus a large Guinness punch. The portion size was fabulous with plenty of tender meat . The punch is so tasty. I was greeted and served with a smile and have no reservations on returning in the future. I'm so pleased you are only a few miles from my home. Thankyou and great to see you doing well through these dark times. Michelle
