My fianceé wife now : and I spent a weekend there. It was so nice and relaxing. The food was top quality and the staff were helpful and friendly. The entire atmosphere was pleasant and we really enjoyed ourselves. The building we stayed in was impeccably clean and tidy. Where we stayed had everything that we needed from cutlery to pots and pans even some games and a puzzle. The hot tub was always hot and the water in the shower was powerful. The view from our back porch in the hot tub was really amazing. We could see the stars at night and the meadow grass blowing back and forth from the wind during the day. I really had a great experience there. During the day we had delicious food from the restaurant and at night I was able to have a nice chat at the bar with some local chaps that asked me all types of questions about America and supplied all kinds of lore about England.
Stayed here with my partner and dog last weekend. We had a lovely stay in one of the lodges which was very clean and cosy. The site was quiet with some great views to wake up to. Will be back again for sure
Lovely, beautiful place. Quiet and relaxing. Boat hire great. Bit out of the way so stock up on food as shop is tiny. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hot tub a must. Kids loved it.Rooms: 5/5
stayed over for a long weekend boating on the broads. It has plenty of mooring space, electric, fuel and water. Great breakfast at the bar although slightly limited due to lack of staff. The farmhouse is spacious for 8 adults and comfortable however a little run down and unloved, cleaning could have been more thorough. Overall a good stay and I would recommend it
We stayed in one of the holiday cabins. Very well appointed & equipped. Hot tub with our property too. Lovely views across the marshes. Been 2 years running - a good base. Restrooms: Available In the pub/restaurant & also at the swimming pool if you're using it. Picnic area: Saw it, didn't use it.
Great campsite, not the largest but the pitches are a good size for tents, campervans and caravans all for a reasonable price. Nice toilets and hot showers with a laundry area plus freezer for your ice packs.. the swimming pool was great and a nice little bonus and all very close to the Riverside.. boats can be hired and there's easy access to the water for sup's and kayaks.. also has a small shop on site for the basics and a huge pub / restaurant with pool table.
Just back from a very relaxing weeks break here. Beautiful, peaceful location on the river Waveney. Lodge was spotlessly clean, warm and cosy and a great base for exploring the area. Restaurant/bar was good - ate there twice - both times had good food and service. All the staff here were cheerful and helpful especially Andrew and Sue on reception who spent ages trying to sort the wi-fi out for us. Will hopefully be back next year.
Booked a holiday August 2021 before leaving from our holiday for August 2022, we got a phone call February/March time to say they were moving us pitches to the ones behind where we had originally booked. we had originally booked where we stay every year and that's on the bottom pitches closest to the toilets and park for the children. When we arrived we were no where near that pitch and put us miles away from where we were meant to be! The pitch didn't fit my tent on and travelled from Northumberland so couldn't just turn round and go home! Whilst there we noticed the old shop had been closed down and a few shelves put up in the bar was the shop, people pulling up on boats for the night making loads of noise and smoking cannabis, the shop got robbed whilst we were there which made us feel very unsafe for leaving anything in our tents! I used to love this place but recently been told its been took over by an awful company and my god they are! My advice is to stay away from the place and pay less money to stay somewhere else. This place has totally let us down this year.
We have stayed at this resort many times over the years and found it to be outstanding in the past. On this occasion the past week we were deeply disapointed with the lodge and facilities. We had to move lodges twice as the first one was filthy dirty and not fit for purpose let alone £1200 for a week. The second lodge had no running hot water and we couldn't shower for over 24 hours. When we called the out of hours number we were told " sorry I'm 2 hours away and can't do anything for you. We then had to move lodges again which ruined the first day and a half of our holiday. Andrew the head of housekeeping was understanding and we picked an available lodge that suited our requirements. He also arranged for a free boat hire for us for the day as form of compensation which we really enjoyed. The resort was empty of people which concerned us, and the bar was disappointing and very expensive. No evening meal available. The shop had such a small quantity of stock and very expensive. We will think twice about booking again, which is such a shame as we have loved our stays here in the past
stayed for 4 nights... alot of money for not alot. the pub don't do food Monday and Tuesday.... shop is pointless... the staff I dealer was was lovely. not there fault.
