I moved in with my partner in december and registered our new status for council tax purposes online. However, the single persons discount was not removed from our council tax which means we now owe a backlogue of payments. we have since telephoned them 4 TIMES!! and they have still not applied our new status which means we now owe them a massive bill. This has put us in terrible financial hardship  and nobody seems to be processing this for us. 
Our newborn son has been in hospital for open heart surgery and this has just added so much stress and worry to our family.
