Brilliant service. Always happy to help when I can't find a particular book (which is often). The staff are always very friendly and they have loads of great book related items too. Love this shop! :D

Always helpful, efficient, and usually able to discuss the books I am buying (if the customer queue is not too long!). I admit sometimes to using Amazon, but I abhor their attitude to tax avoidance and the impersonal nature of on-line buying so I am prepared to pay extra for the sheer pleasure of browsing and conversation. And placing a phone order usually brings books more quickly than an order placed with Amazon or a book warehouse in Des Moines!!

Called Waterstones Newbury on Monday 28th December to check if a book was in stock, unfortunately it wasn't, however a really helpful young man (Curtis I believe?) ordered the book for me over the phone and it was in the store ready for collection by Wednesday. Absolutely great customer service! Thanks, Curtis!
