I quite often leave this store empty handed; I am not aware that I have a particularly strange taste in books but I find that this store rarely stocks the ones I want, while the same store in London or Brighton will have it, for example. Perhaps it is catering for the masses of the town. Saying that, I am so glad Haywards Heath has a Waterstones and I will continue to come here in the hopes that one day I will leave with what I want!

A nice organised branch of Waterstones with a pleasant environment conducive to browsing books.
Lovely bookshop which I didn't get much of a look around,as just popped in while waiting for my daughter. Must go back for a proper browse.
It's a lovely little shop, with good books and atmosphere, but the service left a lot to be desired. The counter was left unattended whilst a member of staff recommended books to a customer and made idle chit chat. That's cute and all, but after a minute or so, the member of staff should use peripheral vision, see a customer is waiting, and wrap up the discussion. In the event, I had to wait 10 minutes. Is it the end of the world? No. Is it uneccessary? Yes. It's all the more annoying as I know people with book knowledge and retail experience, but also a greater command of their overall faculties, who unsuccessfully applied for a job at this branch. I would be happy to come into the shop and give the staff peripheral vision training.

Ordered book online late last night and email this morning to say ready to collect. Great service friendly staff. Wonderful choice to look at in the store which is bright and welcoming, especially good as first time back after latest lockdown.
Hundreds of books, from historical to modern themes. You can find also agendas, pretty bags, gift ideas. Place is in the town centre, people are gentle and friendly.
I love this type of bookstore, good decoration and a lot of variation of books.
