I loved Waterloo! The service, attention, knowledge, advice and welcome I received was awesome. I had Golden Needle tea and amazing banana bread, buy two packs of take home tea and you get a free infuser, made me a happy traveller, glad I walked too far and googled closest cafe to me. An excellent selection of teas here. I had the tangerine oolong, which was lovely. I like that the tea’s served in a teapot with a sand egg-timer so you know how long your tea should brew for. As well as tea, they serve coffee. The food here’s lovely too. I enjoyed my cinnamon bread toast and I tried some of the banana bread which was gorgeous too even though I don’t like bananas!. One of us had the poached egg on sourdough which they also enjoyed. The cafe is light and airy. There’s nice artwork for sale on the wall too. You can buy bags of the loose leaf tea to take home with you, which I have done in the past. Staff are friendly and the service is at table and pay at the counter after. Although we could see that it was busy it wasn’t a long wait for our drinks and food. A nice cafe and we’ll definitely pop in again when we’re next in Penarth.
Visited on a Saturday morning and had a really nice brunch. Great vegan options on the menu, everything was quick and delicious. Felt very safe with all covid restrictions and while distancing meant we had to wait a little to be seated, it was less than 5 minutes and the staff kept us up to date.
Lovely staff, lovely lunch. Spacious room, very dog friendly. Generous portions and delicious tea Vegetarian options: Plenty of choice for the non meat eater

Amzing tea room with a large selection of teas and a very friendly staff. The best thing remains the view on the Beach.

Excellent coffee, the only downside was having to decide which of the delicious looking cakes to have with it... I think coffee and walnut was a great choice!
Great coffee flat white. Their smoothies are good too. BUT… the carrot cake!!! I hear it “calling out” to me every time I walk past! So delicious! I’ve always had the loveliest service here and feel welcomed.
Stopped food by mid afternoon,why?. Cake dry,small quantity poor value and very overpriced .service and friendly welcome would do much to improve customers initial experience,could be much better.
