I booked a superior room for husbands birthday. Used booking.com and it said dog friendly. Someone told me a few days later that they only have about 5 dog friendly rooms. Nowhere on booking.com did it state this. Rang the hotel direct and spoke to someone called Jean who from the first moment was extremely rude and said they don't write on booking.com. said dogs not allowed in the room you've booked. Asked her to see if they had any dog friendly rooms and said yes a double but sand price. What? Told her that wasn't possible for the difference in the rooms. The superior was costing me 144 and she wanted same for a double. Ended up cancelling booking due to her rudeness. Not one apology or friendly tone to see what she could do. Will never book there again and glad I won't be going.
Not bad, but let's start with the negative: Only 1 bath towel provided, had to request another. Meal was luke warm and had been stood for some time. Had to send it back. Breakfast luke warm. However, on a positive note the staff were lovely....shout out to Jo who rescheduled our stay due to illness and kindly upgraded the room. Lovely room and view. Also the young man who had just started in the restaurant.....he dealt with our issues very well. Very quiet throughout the night. Great location. Just one final shout out to the thoughtless idiot ill keep it polite in the white SUV who parked right up to our car making it impossible for my husband to get into his car. What the hell!!!! You had loads of spaces to choose from. You could also clearly see that we had a blue badge wasn't just for decoration. Thanks, my husband is not a well man and your stupid stunt didn't help. How the hell you got out is beyond me.
Good Hotel on the waterfront rather than the seafront. The town seems to have retreated away from the sea to focus on the old town and the waterway. Room was very good, clean and comfortable. The view is good but the nearby building site may affect it for good or bad in the foreseeable future.
room was clean not as big as we thought lot's of storage lovely big bathroom excellent shower although a bath shower my wife who has mobility issues felt safe because of the well positioned handrails,only annoying thing the reception on 1st floor access by lift abit confusing at first.nbreakfast was very good lot's of choice I'd stay away from the fried eggs they have an unusual way of keeping them warm ,not good.ngood.nthe staff were very pleasant and efficient but to be honest didn't have much interaction.nthe bar prices r scandalous I thought I was in Central London.
This is a lovely hotel in a great location. The rooms are modern, clean, and very comfortable, with top-quality bedding and amazingly soft pillows that made for an excellent night’s sleep. The staff are excellent and very welcoming, and the hotel itself is well maintained.nnThe only downside was the evening meal in the restaurant. The menu was limited, and the food we had wasn’t great, so I’d recommend heading into town for dinner instead.nnBreakfast was good with plenty of choice, although some items weren’t replenished quickly enough. The tables weren’t cleared which is unusual, you were just left to move things around the table ready for your next part of breakfast.
