Used to go here when it was waterfront balti, the last time we went was awful, it has since changed hands and is now called sohas, so me and the wife decided to give it another go, I'm so glad we did because it was absolutely beautiful, service was great and really looked after us, the restaurant has had a full makeover and looks really nice now, I had chicken tikka starter and the wife had samosas, the starters where gorgeous and beautifully presented, we both had chicken balti mains with fried rice and chips and i couldn't fault it one bit, a lovely coffee after our meal and can say we where both really happy with the meal and service and will definitely be back, 5 stars
I phoned and ordered for collection. I ordered tawa for 2 and 2 cans of coke. I was charge £17.15, but on menu it say tawa for 2 is £12.99 it also states on menu 10% off collection orders. I was over charged as the tawa for 2 is only £12.99 so basically was charged £4.16 for 2 cans of coke also didn't receive no 10% off even though I collected like it states on menu. Food was nice but don't know weather I will be going back as I am not happy being overcharged and with false advertising.
I told my wife we need to have a meal here one night. Ordered a takeaway a couple weeks ago and stopped off on way back from night out. We only live half mile away but don't really have takeaway. We decided to give it a go and the atmosphere inside seemed lovely and relaxed, the food was delicious and staff friendly. be a nice treat to go there I think. Are you OK with a 3 year old?
We popped in to get a Menu for home delivery and asked for some advice on which dish to order as my partner has a bad cold, the staff were extremely helpful and suggested the best dishes for the job. We ordered when we got home and the food arrived piping hot and it was absolutely delicious. I've lived in India for 15 years and this was the best curry I've had outside of India. Will only use this place from now on !!
Because some of information on the Internet doesn't get deleted or worse it is confused, this restaurant was previously known as the Waterfront Balti. Soha took it over some time back and it's now unrecognisable. Smart decor, clean with a 5* Food Hygiene Certificate, excellent staff but more importantly the food is faultless. Soha can cook! Well at least in my opinion. The chicken tikka Desi karai I had tonight was one of the most flavoursome dishes I have had in years. Indeed it prompted me to write this review as soon as I got home. If your are tempted, it's hot and spicy but be sure to ask for it with less oil. OK this may be less authentic but at least it's better for the waist line. You can take your own alcohol and there is ample parking outside the door.
Incredible meal! I find it difficult to find a really nice gluten free takeaway, but this was absolutely incredible. Everything was labelled as gluten free and we even got some dips. Highly recommend, thank you Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
As you can see from the images a distance view the restaurant looks great however when you look closer at the tables pixtured it was clear that the table cloths haven't been changed in a while as there was food on them. Today I went to this restaurant with a large party. We booked ahead to ensure they could cater for us all. After nearly 3 hours of waiting, most of the party still hadn't received even a starter let alone their main. When the food eventually started to arrive it was of fair quality however due to the slow service it still meant that a large number of our guests were unable to eat and ended up leaving the restaurant after 11 p.m. without having eaten. I have visited this restaurant several times before and each time have been very disappointed with the quality of service and quality of food. Whilst today's quality of food has been better than previous visits, the service remains the same. There is wheelchair access to this restaurant. And around 10 to 15 parking spaces directly out front for the restaurant.
Papadom stale. Starters cold. Delivery driver arrived driving the wrong way down our one way street. If that's the standard of there Delivery drivers driving, please collect your food and make our roads safer
Good food served as per our requirements. The owner was friendly enough to tailor make the food as per our requirements.Recommended dishesChicken Biryani
