I had a battery replaced in my watch today. The battery and pressure test cost me £69.95. While waiting I visited another place in the Ridings centre, Wakefield and asked them for a price for exactly the same thing and was told a maximum of £20 for the battery change or £40 for the battery and pressure test. I asked for the old battery back and found exactly the same battery on Amazon, yes you guess it, £3.45 for 3 batteries. Quite. Good profit, I.e. £1.15p for the battery and £68.80 for mins. Work. I am informed that this outfit is owned by Timpsons the cobblers. Avoid at all cost they are robbers.
Used to get watch batteries changed here fo£30. Went the other day and mardy women in the kiosk wanted £90. Went next door to timpson and got it done for£40 buy a nice lady.
Terrible customer service, rude lady. She took my phone number, was meant to call me on Monday, didn't receive a call. Decided to visit this place to pick up my watch on Sunday 28th and shop was closed even though online it says it's opened since 10am. Tried to ring and didnt receive an answer. I will pick up my watch and never use this place again. Avoid.
Went to watch doctor in French gate lady if thats what you can call her never spoke just looked at me for me to say morning and tell her what I wanted gave her her my watch got price and left she was very rude looks like she doesn't want to be their went back a week later to see if my watch was ready and it was her again she once again just looked at me and never said a word then said have you had a text or phone call to say it was ready I said no then she said well it will be a week so you will have to wait for a phone call or text I have never dealt with anyone so rude in my life it has put me off going their again and I have always taken my watches their I think she needs some kind of training on how to be nice to customers
The woman in the kiosk needs a personality transplant, very rude and mardy. I only wanted a new battery for my Tissot, all I got was "25 quid, 20 minutes!" response from her! Went back and gave her some of her own medicine, chucked the £25 on the counter and said " There used to be a young man working here, he was really nice and pleasant. Never go here again, there are other options available in Doncaster.
Had to take 2 watches for a repair. One was quite damaged and the other one just needed a new battery and a pin putting back on. First watch was done within 30 minutes and the other one had to have a new glass ordered, the bloke said it would take 3 days and he’d let me know as soon as it was ready, I took the watch in Sunday and it was ready Wednesday morning. Spot on with with the time and customer service was more than welcoming. Overall it was cheap, the guy was very kind and everything was good with both watches. Would definitely recommend for slight damage or even serious damage. Because he did both for mine
Took a watch in 4 months ago, they lost a part to my very expensive watch, so I said they could ship it out to the dealer they use.after 3 months of going in time after time and multiple calls, they continued to mess me about and not give me a clear answer where the watch was, spoke to the manager and she had the worst attitude I have ever seen in customer service. Went in polite and all I got back was an angry manager, I don’t usually give bad reviews but if it saves someone from 3/4 of pure mess about then so be it. After all that time i requested the watch back. Still not fixed. Even the other staff members agreed with her poor attitude
Will never ever use them again & advise people to be wary!!! They said my watch needed a whole new mechanism, so we paid for that & obvs a new battery only for it to stop working. Took it back but unfortunately they don't keep records & we lost the receipt. Took it elsewhere only to be advised that there was NOT a new mechanism in it. So this lot robbed us of £60 & all they did was put a new battery in!!
Went to replace a strap and a glass of my watch. Strap was replaced while I was there for £30 and he couldnt change glass so charged me £45 for glass, saying he will send it somewhere to fix it and it will be done in 2weeks. 4 weeks after got message saying that glass will cost £70 and a strap £65 which was already replaced for £30. Didnt agree with new prices so asked for money and my watch back as it was. After another 2 weeks got call saying I can get my watch back. Guy who was covering when I fetched my watch was flirting and acting inaproppriate so when I went for my watch back was hoping that someone else gonna work there. Was relieved seeing a lady behind the counter but not for long couse she was rude with me, handed watch saying goodbye,so had to ask for my money back couse she forgot... Was hoping I will have my watch fixed before my holidays, it didnt happen so never again , do not recomend it to anyone!
I left my Omega watch to replace the glass and service at watch hospital in Doncaster.The guy quoted 350 pound asked me to pay deposit. I paid 100 pound deposit and left my omega watch on the 14/02/2023. I haven’t got messages from the shop in two months , after that I got the message that it will cost 650 pound. So, I went the shop and requested to return my deposit and my omega watch. Now , I got my watch back on 4/7/2023 but not my deposit 100. The woman said that it’s not concerned with her and to ring to someone who can authorise to refund my deposit. I tried to ring the number which she gave, I met a lady and she told me to ring another person. I tried ring to another person and he told me he will send the claim form to my email. I never got the reply and claim form. The woman from the shop is really rude and didn’t explain what’s happening. She told me not to come to the shop again . I will never deal the Watch Hospital but I am still trying to get my deposit, 100 pound. Win Maw
