Great stay in an excellent Inn. We had a great welcome on arrival. We had a large room, tv tea making facilities, shower, etc. This is a proper inn like the old days. Great food and ale with friendly staff that made our anniversary really special.Rooms: 5/5

Dropped in for lunch....mistake!! Girl behind the bar was polite when serving us. Food was not good! Beef curry had 3 bits of beef and some potato, in a runny mess of sauce!! Rice was lovely. Husband had gammon, which was dry and chewy. Dogs running all over the place, didn't like that they were allowed in the eating area. Overall, very disappointing!! Wouldn't recommend!
Basic Inn. Clean and tidy. Food is very good. Staff were very friendly. Food & drinks: Delicious pies
Pet friendly accommodation and restaurant/ bar. We planned to camp in our van but the end of the glorious weather gave way to heavy rain and thunderstorms. So a last minute search for a family room that would also allow our dog limited the search. Worry not ! Great pub in a great location that serves great pub food. We”re a bit fussy. Pescatarians with a 15 year old carnivore. Salmon, steak and buffalo cauliflower wings satisfied the three of us. Whilst the dog sat with us in the bar. What a little gem.
Fantastic pub, food was amazing and a good selection of drinks. Beer garden with views of the railway 6ft away but don't worry of you staying in the hotel as the last train was before 6pm and after 10am Large car park as we got our big van parked. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable, we will definitely be back in the future. As a bonus the vintage steam railway station is literally 30ft away from the car park, hop on and visit half of the Somerset.

We dropped by for lunch. It wasn't busy. We waited over half an hour for the food to come. They just were not interested. It was lukewarm when it arrived. My choice of food was not what the menu said it would be. I called someone over but he was not rather indifferent. However he made some effort to help. I ate it reluctantly. No effort was made to redress the situation. Will certainly never go there again.
Stopped off for a couple of drinks whilst waiting for the steam train back to Minehead. Very friendly staff and a lovely little pub.Service: 5/5
First the plus points lovely friendly staff who seemed very eager to please. Pub seems pleasant enough clean and tidy as you should expect. However the food was basic and the menu though limited which is usually a good sign even had items crossed off on a Saturday night. There may be some issues back of house that were not evident to us but if I was being honest I would replace the cook with a chef.
