Story

There's something for everyone at the Museum, from dinosaurs to mummies to fine art. Explore our beautifully refurbished galleries, and learn about ancient civilizations from Egypt to Peru. There are also displays on the natural world and Warrington's history, as well as changing art exhibitions featuring work from leading artists. And look out for our brand new Cabinet of Curiosities gallery, opening in early 2014! Guided tours are available – organised group visits by prior arrangement. Contact 01925 442399

Great small museum. However the door on the way in closes to fast meaning my elderly nan got hit by the door as she was still walking into the building, other than that it was a great place and a very great place to find out some information about the area of Warrington! I definitely recommend the art gallery area it was so interesting!

A real find! The museum has a large collection of prehistoric and historic exhibits. There are kids' activities, some weird items from the past. The gallery includes special exhibits and regular items. Fantastic new exhibition. Loved the contrast between the new contemporary collection and the old museal artwork in the gallery. Definitetly a must visit!. Nice place to look round my grandson really enjoyed the dinosaurs and the drawings he could do. They also had crafts the kids could do he made a busy bee. Nice and free putty the gift shop wasn't that big. But he said he would go again. So a win win for meVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait

Loved this museum as a child and just went to see Stealing Sheep and other bands at their first ever gig in the museum! It was brilliant! Really hope they do it again, lovely friendly staff.

Fabulous museum with mix of old and new art and imaginatively displayed local and natural history galleries. Star attractions include crime and punishment installation and unique collection of flower and plant models. Well worth a visit.

Brilliant hidden gem and it's free! Has a number of rooms on two floors with lots of artefacts and info. Kids games in some of the rooms eg historical snakes and ladders. No cafe but there's a hot drinks machine £1 in a seating area.
