Our first Cornish pasties and they didn’t disappoint! We took them to Porthgwarra Cove to eat them. I don’t typically eat onions or much meat but it was good. Almost opted for chicken but wanted authentic!
We took two pasties to take-away and ate them at the beach with a beautiful view. They were good but not very special. For me the pastry was better than the filling...
Not sure on the negative reviews about staff. The people leaving the reviews were probably the rude ones. Staff seemed fine to me. Anyway, what’s really important is the food. We tried pasties from all over Cornwall, these were very good and fresh every time we visited. Very delicate pastry which was different depending on the filling, which I really liked. Anyone passing through should try them. You’ll be very happy I’m sure.
Food was good and at a reasonable price, the only small issue was the girl serving, although helpful she was very glum and it felt a bit awkward even asking for a serviette. I’ve worked with the public for the last 30 years and even if you have an off day you need to hide it.
The food is tasty, albeit a little over priced especially compared to the CoOp opposite and they have a very limited selection. But the main issue of complaint was how awful the staff were, they were unhelpful a very rude!nI would like to say this was an isolated issue but this was the level of service on both recent visits- I think I’ll shop elsewhere in future.
