Lovely place and very friendly staff! Sarah and Janis served us delicious breakfast and lunch. Excellent communication, warm welcome! Highly recommended! Update: Great dinner too! Chefs made delicious Fish&Chips and Steak
Signature red wine gravy is the oily watery mess on the plate , processed meat , stuffing raw in the middle and dry ,potatoes which taste old and cabbage dried out within an inch off its life. Processed peas and burnt parsnips which ironically were cold ! I think the kitchen may have lost their passion or it certainly comes across as though that’s the case ! Such a massive shame as this place had being recommended to me ! We had already returned one meal which was cold after being brought out - Sadly the replacement wasn’t any better ! Unfortunately I won’t be returning
I was brought here on my last night after staying in the area fur a few days. Nice to catch up with friends. We had a warm welcome, the staff were attentive and a fabulous winter menu. A really nice ambience, lovely decor and historic photographs on display. Very prompt service, good food and fabulous hot deserts, the vegan ice cream is worth trying out!
Wanted to take a family member out for a meal, I’ll give him two stars because the serving staff were lovely really helpful. However the food was for at least two of us inedible. The chicken was overcooked and rubbery the ribs were undercooked the vegetarian toad in the hole, was hard. The only success was the fish and chips. They had run out of lemonade. Very disappointing experience, we stayed at the premier in, next door , overnight but did not take up the offer of breakfast due to our experience the day before.
Great for people with food allergies, they have a complete list of all their menu items you can use to check for your allergy. BEST ever Vegan dessert, about time restaurants started offering fantastic dishes for tho as who have dairy along with other allergies Dietary restrictions: Great choice for dairy free options.
Very good place. We went off peak hours just after days opening, so had fast service and food delivery. Some chairs do seem to be falling apart so may need replacing. The food is cooked well and tasty, no complaints. The BBQ sauce on some foods is too overpowering and does need to be toned down.
The pub itself is nice but slightly dark in places. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. On arrival, we were reassured there wasn't a long wait for food. However, we waited just short of an hour for 2 adult Sunday lunches and the same but for a toddler. The food was OK, dessert definitely saved the whole experience!
We were a group of 5 women. We meet up every couple of months, usually at The Warrener and gave a meal and good chinwag. I normally give them 5 stars and hope to again as the staff are consistently lovely and always patient when we are nattering. The food us great but today was cold and one dish had to be sent back. I'm guessing they were short staffed. Well be back
Very friendly and welcoming staff…. Clean and tidy even though it was very busy when I ate here on Sunday evening… drinks came out quickly and food was value for money, it was hot and tasty, the smothered platter was nice, not ground breaking, but at £13.49 it was good value for money and the steak was actually tender
Whilst the waitress was working hard to serve many tables, our overall experience was entirely sub-optimal. Our starters arrived before our drinks and the hot chocolate in the order was exceptionally weak. Our starters were what you would expect and there was nothing particularly bad with them. Our mains then took an exceptionally long time to arrive, during which time we asked on two occasions where they were. I think the wait would have easily been an hour. Our mains then arrived with pretty small portions for what appeared to be some very anaemic looking dinners! Subsequently, I then ordered a tea, which came promptly, but without the teabag in the pot, as if it were poised to cater for those that just want a cup of boiling water, having asked for tea. We asked for more cutlery also, at this stage, but sadly it never arrived, so we were forced to acquire our own from elsewhere. Overall, our experience was entirely second-rate and we would be exceptionally unlikely to return.
