Beautiful shop, fabulous products and live lobster! Lovely range of anti pasti cured meats too along with sauces etc.
Best place for all types of meat,fish and crustaceans too. Always fresh, and staff willing to help out, will be my number one for meats and fish.
I love everything about Wards. The shop has been trading in Birkenhead market for many, many years and no matter how many customers visit each day, the serving area is always clean. The produce is presented well and looks appealing. I had a conversation with a member of the team and found that the morning starts for a couple of of them while most of us are in bed as a lot of the produce is fresh daily. I would never have thought about how much is actually involved in the day to day running of the shop. It's a long day! I've heard the shop is moving from the market to a new location within the main body of shops, which hopefully will be noticed by the people who don't go into the market and give them their custom. The staff are very friendly and helpful. An all round fabulous business and I certainly hope to see them doing well for many more years to come. Well done Wards Fish

The best reason to visit the city centre. Fresh, reasonable and friendly.
Top quality fish on offer here. Everything from kippers to halibut, all there on the counter in front of you. The prices are reasonable and the staff very knowledgeable indeed. Every town needs a fishmonger like this, but they are a dying breed. Keep up the good work guys!
I love the fact that the shop is spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly. You're always greeted with a smile and never feel as if you're being rushed. I should add that I've never been disappointed with anything purchased from them!
