As far as very small, fairly disused un-staffed stations go, the facilities here aren't too bad. Waiting shelters have been provided, and there is a ticket machine on the Portsmouth/Southampton-bound platform of the station. Step-free access to both platforms is via a level crossing at the West end of the station. However, being such an un-staffed and small station, this station isn't very secure, or all that safe to be at, and it feels rather uncomfortable to wait for trains at during certain points in the day, or at night. Lots of trains pass this station, although there is only an hourly stopping service for each direction, plus there's no footbridge to bypass the level crossing when the barriers are down. Unless it's the smaller local stations between Havant and Chichester you require, you're better off using Havant's main station, since all Southern Services along the West Coastway Line that pass here will stop there. Otherwise, it's probably best to avoid using this station if you can.
Best train station I have ever been to! Platform is about 360 Jamie-Feet long, and even had a PERTIS! Best place to be stranded for an hour by far! 5 Starts, would come again!
There is a working ticket machine and waiting shelters. My only annoyance was the level crossing barriers. They took forever to raise after the train had gone through.
Worst train station ever!! The train crossing doesnt open for ages, had 6 trains go past yet not open, been sat here over 30 mins! Avoid. At all costs. I dont understand why they just dont open it and close it again
A quiet station with bearly no facilities, I like how it has a permit machine
If you want to know what it feels like to be surrounded by chavs, go to this station at 3pm.
