Absolutely well worth a visit. £3 entry. Run by volunteers. Check opening times. It was a real experience through the working areas over several floors. Good museum also on site. Rural and RAF. Entry by donation. Miniature railway too. £1 ride I think. Not a big place but worth a few hours if in the area. Also old fashioned sweet shop.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Waltham Windmill is a beautiful and historic place that is well worth a visit. The windmill is in great condition and the views from the top are amazing. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the £3 admission fee is very reasonable. I would highly recommend Waltham Windmill to anyone interested in history, architecture, or simply a nice day out. Here are some specific things I liked about Waltham Windmill: * The windmill is in great condition and is well-maintained. * The views from the top are amazing and well worth the climb. * The staff are friendly and helpful. * The £3 admission fee is very reasonable. Here are some things to keep in mind if you are planning a visit to Waltham Windmill: * The windmill is not open every day, so be sure to check the website or call ahead to confirm opening hours. * The windmill is located in a rural area, so there is not much public transportation available. * The windmill is a popular tourist attraction, so it can get crowded at times. Overall, I had a great experience at Waltham Windmill and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in history, architecture, or simply a nice day out.
A great day out for all the family. The RAF Museum is a time capsule. I loved it in there. Children's play area with minature train rides. The main attraction is the working windmill that still produces today.
Great couple of hours spent here with the grandchildren. Pity the train wasn't running but did return with visiting family a few days later who loved the museum and windmill. Toilets lovely and clean which is a big thumbs up in my book. It's just a lovely area and look forward to visiting again when the train is running and the carriage is serving coffees and icecreams.

What a brilliant day out ,only open at weekends at the moment. The windmill is a rare one with 6 sails. You can go in and listen to a guide telling you of the history of the mill .it is a working one that does grind grain to make flour, you can climb all the way up to the top if you wish. There is a old fashioned sweet shop ,remember aniseed balls, cola cubs ,kop Kops and many more . There is a fantastic laser writing shop what can make you signs for all sorts of things ,Xmas is coming up ?. The museum is a must ,all sorts of war memrabelia to look at you may of even used some of the things yourself.!! The restaurant is brilliant pizza and all lovely kind of meals . There is A very good iron monger who can make all sorts of iron work . There is a fantastic light way railway .there are at least three different trains running at one time pulling carriages which you sit straddled across, and it's only a pound to go on and the ride you get is great ,a long ride There is also an area for the little ones to climb about up rope walls and a swing it's not very big but it's big enough. All ,apart from the train ride is by donation ,and they really do need them donations to keep this wonderful wind mill going .it's well worth any amount of donation . They will look forward to seeing you .
Bonfires night. Fireworks display was good but overflowing with people. A bit of hassle with the kids, no good vintage point and parking was a nightmare, found a space a mile away.
Lovely morning at the Windmill, train ride, and great coffee in the little cafe former rolling stock

We were looking for a quiet, caring cafe to take my mum and dad to, couldn't have found a better place, mum now struggling with late stage dementia could not have been looked after any better, Mark and Sarah gave her Royal care. Would give more stars if I could, lovely drinks and light snacks. Thankyou, your attention and patience made such a difference for us and a lovely memory, Rachael xxx
