Thank you to Penny and the other nurse that helped in the room yesterday. The lady who went to Cyprus sorry can’t remember her name! They both was so incredibly lovely! Caring, calm. I could not have asked for better! I had the copper coil fitted else where a few years ago had to have it taken out a few months ago and it was horrible experience, very painful, brought me to tears, yesterday I had the hormonal coil fitted, which was no where near as painful as the last coil. No tears. They was so helpful in keeping me distracted and calm. I am forever thankful! I will be using this clinic from now on. All the staff here are lovely, the reception lady was great! To the nurse that told me the correct way to the exit! The gentleman man that picked my badge up that I dropped. You are all lovely! Thank you so much!
MANY MONTHS LATER AFTER IMPLANT this horrible mask can see very easily from behind my arm I have had birth control implant from this hospital, this is the third time. The last two times there were no problems, there was a little bleeding as usual and other doctor bandaged the wound after it was finished. The last two implants for the past five years were no problems until the most recent, third dose. a male doctor. when it came to the acupuncture operation. First of very strange part was he asked me which side do I want to get it? I can pick any side. So i chosen left because I'm right-handed. and then he told me “ I think right is better maybe because I already laid down that site… He implanted my other arm. I asked him to make the same arm which I told him that I didn't want any new scars and I don’t want to do on my right-handed. Then he told me it doesn’t matter it’s cool to do it on the right side because he doesn’t want to scar my tattoo which it already did from last two times and the scar wasn't big and it was my decision as he asked me to chose ‍ I let him do what he wanted because as should trust the doctor. After only a few seconds of injecting the anesthetic, he immediately started implanting the contraceptive stick. The anesthetic still didn't work. I felt pain from start to finish. In conclusion, he implanted the birth control . The position is much lower than the old one, going under the arm I asked him why and he told me his new technique. And the second mistake, after he pushed the contraceptive stick with his bare hand into my arm, a lot of blood flowed. It flows down the edge of the bed until it hits the floor. In the past I had never had blood flow and the implant was not inserted into the flesh, just under very thin skin as you can see the whole implants on my skin even after many months . After finishing, he didn't bandage my wound at all. He used a tower to stop my bleeding for minutes after that. All he put on my arm was a white plaster and scotch tape. I had already requested that if the blood was flowing this much, would you please bandage it for me a little? In case it flows again Because in the past other doctors still bandaged my wound every time even though the blood was not flowing just in case for protected. He replied to me that other doctors had their own techniques. But I don't need to wrap it up, it's not necessary This is my technique… After three to four days, my wound was green in a large area and very painful. And now it has been almost a year and I have really use the right hard much , I work from home . But as you can see in the picture, it hurts a lot, hurts every day and has this kind of bruise all the time. I thought it might be from sleeping on it, which is unlikely because in the past five years I've never had a problem. Until I consulted another hospital, they advised me to remove it because the acupuncture was not correct if I don’t remove, it’s going to keep happening it will never go .. I don't know the doctor's name. He is a man thin and of the second gender. I have interrupted him many times. with strange treatment behavior from other doctors but they didn't listen to me He didn't really care and did what he wanted just to get it quickly I don’t know how did he become a doctor he is not deserve to work in any hospital!! This is what his technic does to my arm
I wish to say Thankyou to Nurse Penny. First time I visited this place. I was very nervous about the procedure I was undergoing, but nurse Penny reassured me and offered me the best advice. Nurse Penny is brilliant. She is professional and highly skilled in her job. Well done
I had a disappointing experience with this sexual health clinic. When I called in with concerns about changes to my body, the nurse seemed uninterested in booking an appointment. She redirected me to my GP, stating they only handle sexual health issues. I hadn't been diagnosed yet, and my concerns were genuine. I even wanted to get checked for signs of scrotal or testicular cancer. The nurse's demeanor was rather rude, and I had to overly explain my situation. In the end, I didn't get an appointment, and it felt like a waste of time. I wouldn't recommend this clinic, especially for males seeking help with sensitive issues or support.
Great service and good staff. However, I am a bit annoyed that they have closed shop without sending me any letters or anything. Even my GP had no clue what was going on and he was not happy and said he is gonna bring it up in the NHS meetings. I was getting blood tests here, etc, etc. Never got sent my appointment and when I rang up they said it's just vanished. I feel for the people who were receiving treatment as they won't be getting their next appointment. I will also add that the staff on the phone have been extremely helpful and amazing. My guess it's some big cat investor or some cooperate idiot whos made the decision to chop the service with immediate effect without warning anyone.
Staff are always lovely to talk to and are very pleasant. Nurses focus on easing the patient and offer great care. A lovely service that I thank them for because I have anxieties. They offer great support and always answer their phones, are great with contact detail updates and appointment times are right on time or even earlier than expected. If I arrive ten minutes before my appointment time, I am normally seen either right on the dot or before the given time of appointment. Staff have always been friendly to me and it's really a great service. Has put me at a lot of ease.
I have my contraception pill from this place and it’s always an easy experience. I’d like to particularly praise Thomas the nurse as I have had him the last 2 times and he’s excellent, so lovely and gives me such detailed information if asked a question!
I was supposed to have a coil fitted today first ever time trying it but the clinician wouldn't see me before the next person I was only late by 10 minutes the receptionist did her best for me but my friend who dropped me off rushed back from work and wasted her time and because of the policy of not allowing to bring your child although mine is quiet and wouldnt of been an issue I couldn't be seen I did my best but now have to wait untill the beginning of Feb to be seen again im already un sure what the coil is going to be like for me but now have to wait even longer with those uncertainties but am giving a 4 rating because overall this place is better than gps and do what they can as a 2nd opinion
Receptionist lady with the green braids was lovely. Nurse Penny too ,she made my procedure a breeze, considering how scared I was
Rude reception staff. Told couldn’t wait in the waiting room for my vulnerable girlfriend even tho I did 2 weeks before. They are either lying or change the rules to fit.
