A pleasant walk along the canal close to the railway station.
Dated old station accessed by the half-empty Saddlers Shopping Centre, or via the Station Street entrance, where a couple of PCSOs were clearing off the tramps who had pitched their tents right outside the entrance this morning. There are plans for a large-scale overhaul, putting a garden / square in front of the station, but at this stage it's a case of 'what's the point?' and a waste of money for the town centre where more and more shops lie empty. The station was closed yet again today due to the unions, who I'm sure are stood on a picket line somewhere waving a Palestine flag.

It is sad to see this great old town in such a sorry state. So many closed and derelict shops even on the main roads
Medium size town on outskirts of Birmingham. Nice town centre with all shops and services you need concentrated in small space.
