Very nice traditional seaside shop with sweets, ice creams and gifts. Free (for 12 hrs) parking opposite with easy access to beach via steps and views over Thames Estuary and Whitstable Bay.

Lovely place, very calm and relaxed and had a wonderful time staying in one of the 4-star chalets. My only complaint was that there was WiFi in the chalet but it was unusable, so I've knocked off a star for that.

This store has been here for generations, and taking my children (the third generation) with their own pocket was a real treat. Staff are always friendly, there's an excellent selection of pocket money toys, sweets, beach essentials and some local interest pamphlets. Everything is reasonably priced and it's accessible from the beach for a seaside ice cream too.
