This is a nice place to come in the daytime and thursday evening when they have jazz. As someone said, not a destination but a great to go and relax. It is inexpensive and we used to come here when we were skint for the free coffee and to eat food we bought in the supermarket. Later we used to like to hang out here after work with a glass of wine and a plate of cheese, ham and other delikatessen bought from the wine bar. As someone who doesnt like pubs i found this a great place to hang out for conversation.
Terrible experience. We chose a white wine from the shelves in the bar as per the sign and asked for it to be chilled. We were given it warm, in a wine carrier. It was undrinkable in the bar so we asked for a refund. The customer service rep was called and refused to give us a refund. When we asked for his details, he ran away and refused to give us his details or even his job title so we could reference him in the complaint. A truly awful experience. We are sending our complaint straight to head office.
Horrible service! You’d expect something else from Waitrose. How do you recruit people? If you work in a Wine Bar you are expected to be able to open a bottle of wine. When finally received our bottle, it was full of cork pieces. When asked to sort it out, we got an attitude… and she still forgot our waters… This is what you’re paying £7.5 Corkage fee… brilliant
It is located inside the Waitrose supermarket. A nice place when you can take a drink and relax. Very close to the King Cross station Also the Waitrose supermarkets must be the best supermarket chain in London
Terrible place to take anyone on a date. Not being native to this country, I thought Waitrose sounded like a posh wine bar and when I got there was very disappointed to discover Waitrose was a supermarket! Still went on second date. And it happened to be at Waitrose wine bar again, but that's not the point! Please label your wine bar as a supermarket bar more clearly. Kind thanks. Please like if you found this review useful!
Reasonable priced drinks for the Kings x area. Nice food platters can get busy and not too many table in winter. Summertime tables outside and live music some nights.
Order a drink at the bar amd get served outside. You can pickup a bottle of wine or beer pay a corkage fee and drink outsideFood: 4/5
Great service and live Jazz band on Thursday!
Useful if you need somewhere with plenty of seating. The lighting is too harsh and vibe too supermarket ish to make it a destination, however.
Trendy or what? But disappointed At this flag ship stores poor range of Argentinian Malbec. Tut!
