We moved to Dorchester in the last few months and have thus discovered Waitrose. I expected it to be prohibitively expensive and have been pleasantly surprised. Not only are there lots of deals and the prices reasonable, but the store is a lovely, warm and welcoming place to shop, there is a good variety of products that you simply cannot find elsewhere glass-bottled water, anyone? and the friendliness of the staff is second to none. Every Partner I've dealt with in store has been professional and attentive, with a special shout-out to Peter who seems to always be on the manned tills when I go in on a Friday and always goes over and above to make each customer feel welcome, often exceeding our expectations. Best store in town by far!
Last few times I went in Dorchester Waitrose the coffee machine had a red or a white sign saying no coffee, no point paying Waitrose much higher prices if there's no free coffee, no cakes in the fridge at 6 pm, park stone Waitrose as two coffee machines only one in Dorchester so more likely to find the one not working than working like the last few times
Man at till seemed rather abrupt when asking about a 3 for 8 deal, I suspect he thinks I was challenging the bill but it was just as we got them from different aisles... Expect better at Waitrose.
Good quality produce. Easy place to find in the centre of Dorchester. Self service tills.
Well stocked. Amazingly friendly staff. Has its own carpark in the basement of the complex, so easy to grab click and collect shopping. Just aim for Acland Car Park and it's right across the road from it.nVisited as a click and collect order for holiday nearby. Super easy and all items available. No substitutions. Very pleased.
