Waitress is a lot better than most places but what I can't understand is how or why a premium supermarket does their olives in veg or rapeseed oil instead of olive oil? Very lame. Won't be buying them, I can get that sort of quality in asda or aldi. You would expect a quality place to have olives in olive oil...

Waitrose seem to have a very strict policy when selling Scratchcards/Lottery. The staff of course are just doing their job as per the Challenge 25 policy. However, the attitude the staff have when asking for ID is strange, almost like you're inconveniencing them for them having to ask!

I've always liked Waitrose with their variety of different brands, which is limited in other supermarkets & their knowledgeable & helpful staff.

Insane, strict age verifications. Utter crazy. I lived in London for 5+ years and never got ID’d like this in any Waitrose in London. Tonbridge life must be something else. On the way home from work, wanting to buy a couple scratch cards as part of a little tradition my partner and I have. These cost £2. The seller refused to sell them, so very embarrassing incident as I had to go home and grab my ID. I am 28. I googled the legal age for scratch cards and it’s 18. I get it if you’re a small kid, but come on, are you serious? You are annoying people rather than helping them and, if it’s something more serious like alcoholic beverages fair enough, but these were scratch cards!!! Insane.
