As a 40 year old man I didn’t not appreciate the rude staff member asking my daughter for ID because ‘I’ was buying alcohol!! I was in the shop buying beer for myself so why should my daughter need ID. Surely people take their kids shopping all the time, this is ridiculous. The staff member who I wish I’d got her name was very rude and I didn’t like the way she spoke to me. Won’t be shopping here again!!
In the city centre &, free car park. Good selection of wine. There is B& M nearby.
Clean & tidy store. Parking a nightmarenThe Lady who served me was polite at the start but then talked to her colleague & another customer the whole time then said sorry my love at the end … I don’t understand why staff do this it’s just rude & not necessarilynif I ran Waitrose I’d ask staff never to speak to colleagues when serving a customer

We visited the Waitrose in Ely to grab dinner, and the meal deals were of value, and we're of excellent quality. The only thing I have to say is the labels aren't clear about what is and what is not a meal deal, in particular the snacks, as most would have the red meal deal stickers, but some would not and would have a regular sticker. Otherwise, it was great, and we used the self-checkout; the lady running that section was fast to respond to our machines when it ran into an issue, but all in all, it was a great experience.
