I have been doing my weekly shop here for the past year and have always had a positive experience until today. When my contactless payment failed, I was stopped from leaving briefly to collect my card from the car, at which point it was implied — in a patronising manner — that I might leave without paying.nnWhile I understand the need for caution, assumptions of dishonesty are inappropriate. Customers should be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Sadly i'll be taking my business elsewhere.
Free parking on Sunday or after 6 pm Monday to Saturday. All other time, you need to pay for parking first and then claim it back if you went shopping.nFree coffee for Waitrose member but you need to bring your own cup. Coffee machines are located on level 2 and level 1.nToilet is located on level 1.nThere is a Cafe area located on level 2, inside of shopping area.
It's a great shop to go into and buy your regular products and has an easy layout with vast sections. It has a great wine area for your tasty tipple. But you have to pay for parking, though. Easily refunded at the till
Nice store .Shame the customer lavatories are not kept clean, and carpark payment stations are either broken or cash only.
Worst shopping experience I’ve ever had.nLet’s start with the fact that the car park is confusing, with only one hour parking refundable for spending £10+ in Waitrose. However there is no information on parking for blue badge holders, and only one of the ticket machines work with contactless.nnAs a blue badge holder with limited mobility, one hour isn’t enough for big shops, I ended up feeling incredibly rushed as I’d paid for the one hour parking as nothing had indicated it was free for blue badges.
