I was in today, 21/7/24 around 10.30am. Only my second time because the last time I was in several years ago it was much the same so I see nothing has changed. Followed around my the security guard, socially awkward and unfriendly staff…Seems I’m not the only reviewer saying the same thing. That is the last time I’ll set foot in, the Newton Mearns Waitrose is much friendlier. Such an off putting atmosphere in this Milngavie store.
I had a problem with my online order today, however the empathy, excellent service, and professionalism I received from the manager, Kevin, and his team was outstanding. A pleasure to shop in Waitrose Milngavie.
This store is Waitrose and is superb. Perfectly sized and so well stocked. The quality of fresh fruit and vegetables is excellent. It must be said that the fresh fish counter is quite wonderful. If you are serious about cooking, then this is THE place for great ingredients. Big tip... get a 'MyWaitrose' Card...definitely well worthwhile. The latest incentive of Personalised Vouchers is so welcome - definitely worth engaging with. The staff are friendly and helpful and never get in the way of shoppers. 'ScanPayGo' try it with a Spanish accent is a great facility. Just go in there for the recipe cards if you must. They are fabulous.
Put my jacket in to get cleaned. When i picked it up the zip didn’t work correctly. So I took it back and they said they’d fix it. When I came back a third time all they had done was oil the zip, but it still didn’t go on correctly. So I left it again. Fourth time round, they have replaced the zip and the new one is a horrible short zip that folds all the way round into the inside of the jacket. I am absolutely shocked and disappointed by this service. My belated mother bought this jacket as a gift before she passed away. And now every time I put it on I feel guilt for what monstrosity has been done to it. I wish I’d left it dirty. Do NOT use this dry cleaners

Nice big store with lots of products. The staff are absolutely lovely. It wasn't too busy either and I visited between Christmas and New Year.
Leaving this review is the last thing I wanted to do however, I was in store 5/2/24 for my usual weekly shop. I was hounded around the store by staff, I was given the name Monique by one member who followed me into each dept treating me as if I was a criminal/shoplifter. This made for a very uneasy visit, to the point I felt so harassed and started to feel anxious that I had done something wrong, or indeed maybe I was judged not worthy to be a customer of waitrose so I decided to just go to checkout with only half my shopping in the trolly, as I honestly didn't have peace shopping in store having at least 3 staff members following me around. When at checkouts, I was again followed by Monique, who then unapologetically and quite obvioulsy pointed towards me from behind a unit to yet another staff member who stood watching me until I was finished with shop. This behaviour was shocking and no one should be treated and judged by any member of your staff...
I bought an organic christmas turkey crown on 22/12/23. To be used by 26/12. I cooked it accordingly to the instructions on Christmas day, cooking time 2hrs/40mins. So disappointed it was completely tasteless, dry and unappetizing. Finished up just given to my dogs. Very disappointing at Christmas. Next christmas I will be shopping elsewhere.
Bit pricey for somethings compared to other shops but still nice for a visit had not been in a while.
