I still feel very posh shopping in Waitrose but if you live in Romsey it’s very convenient. For a vegan it’s got lots of options - including Juicy Marbles!! We don’t do a full weeks shopping there but for picking up weekly lunch bits it’s great. They do our favourite bread. We got a box of 6 Moth margaritas reduced from £20 to £6!! So we bought them all! The valentines meal deal is excellent value. Parking is pretty easy unless you go at peak times and then you may need to queue a bit to get in. Also you can pop to 108 The Bakery just round the corner and get some awesome baked goods after you’re done!!
When does waitrose is going to : 1. Put doors on fridge display 2. Electronic gate and tag on products so thieves can get caught so we honest customers don’t pay for it 3 instead of concentrating on the car park 6spaces taken for electric charging point , useless get the fruit and veg display fully loaded. 4. Get trolley with coin so lazy customers will return them at the right place so you will not have to employ somebody to collect them everywhere . Useless supermarket pretending to be exquisite and serving high end customers
Waitrose has lost its identity. It used to stand for quality goods and quality service from its staff. What’s happened in last last 18 months is that they have virtually made redundant it’s staff, so there is virtually no one to deliver a quality service and the quality and range of its produce is no better than any other supermarket. The only consistency seems to be its prevailing high prices. Considering all the above leaves one to wonder why anyone would bother to shop at Waitrose at all.
We thought we'd have an easy supper so would buy Pizza in the Romsey branch Lovely pizzas as long as your not coeliac!! No gluten free ! Nada!! Really Waitrose. I think "could do better" would be they're homework mark !!
Changed rating from 5 stars to 1 star after recent experience. Don't take your children shopping with you if you intend to buy a bottle of wine, the trainee managers will ask your children for ID too. Waitrose Romsey.
We're lucky to have this as our local supermarket. Often better stocked with things we buy than the larger Waitrose in Salisbury, where deliveries come from.
The Waitrose in Romsey was always a lovely friendly supermarket. It's such a shame they've replaced some of the checkouts with self service. They work fine if you're buying a pint of milk, not so if you have a trolley. If you're going to charge higher prices than other supermarkets then perhaps don't skimp on staff.
Brilliant store, lots n lots of choice and very well stocked shelves. Lovely friendly helpful staff
Lisa, a Waitrose partner, has just gone above and beyond and deserves recognition. The store was sold out of the baby formula I use and she personally went to the chandler's ford branch after hours to collect a case and delivered it to the Romsey store so it was waiting for me at the front desk the next morning. This store has always had brilliant customer service but this was better than I could ask for. Thanks so much!
Just tried the waitrose Tandoori Shishlic chicken thighs with roasted peppers, was absolutely delicious.
