I love going to Jalisco because the staff are so friendly, always with a smile on their face. We went for dinner and had the “make your own” tacos with chicken and carne mechada, nachos and some margaritas. The meat was a bit bland in flavour but you had plenty of condiments to make it to your taste. The margaritas are overpriced in my opinion as they don’t have much alcohol in them, but the fruit flavours were delicious.
Food was cooked to perfection, drinks were tasty and we had a nice little table outside too! We ordered - Nachos Spicy Chicken wings Pollo tinga tacos Vegetable Quesadilla 2 Margaritas
The food was alright and the customer service too. There were however a few options on the menu which were not available on the day. When booking using The Fork the take away option is not available.Food: 4/5
The food was very very good. Excellent preparation. I have been wanting to try this place for some time. It is authentic Mexican cuisine in the heart of Brixton. We shared the three taco plate and a pitcher of Paloma. The drink was tasty, but seemed lacking on booze - that seems like a UK thing though.Food: 5/5
We ordered the “para compatir” and the ingredients came separately which you need to assemble your own tacos. The taste was so-so, drinks were okay. It’s a bit overpriced for the food quality and service. Also, the staff mis-charged us the bills for the other table and we only knew after we left. They asked us to go back the other day just for the bank details but the refund is still not processed yet after 3 weeks now. A bit of disappointing experience
Cool place with a great vibe and lovely service, too. Food was yummy too.Food: 5/5
Stopped in here last minute for some lunch. No regrets I love a good Mexican feed. They weren't too busy for a Saturday arvo around 2pm. Seats available inside and out. We were seated promptly and order was taken quickly. We had a few delights. The food was super tasty and authentic. Good portion size and will happily return to sample more of the dishes here.
Delicious tacos but impossible to eat as they were so juicy. We tried the beef, pork, chicken, roasted vegetable and bean tacos. All were very juicy which made the tacos so soggy it was impossible to pick them up and when you used a knife and fork the paper lining underneath tore up and was added to your mouthful. Somewhat annoying but on the good side they are very tasty. The roasted vegetable taco was also very sloppy. The staff were lovely and the atmosphere is fun being right in the market, but they need to re-evaluate how they serve the tacos so you can hold them in your hand without falling to pieces.
Were so happy we discovered this place. They serve the best churros best churros I ever had. Their burritos tasted really authentic. We love everything we ordered. Big portions and great value for money.
Sadly I wouldn't recommend Jalisco. I was really excited to have some authentic Latin American food but it was really bland! I ordered a burrito and it was definitely missing some of the toppings, such as guacamole it was basically just rice, beans and meat.Food: 2/5
