This place is absolutely top notch from the food to the staff! My husband and I went for the full 3-course experience. The soup of the day French onion was so flavorful, as was the amuse bouche vegetable soup. My husband’s duck was cooked perfectly, as was my fish. And oh, the potatoes… the potatoes were the thing of dreams! To finish the meal, I had the sticky toffee pudding, which undoubtedly rivals Gordon Ramsay’s, while my husband enjoyed the brownie. I’m so glad a place like this exists in mid-Wales!
Everything about this amazing pub was 5* from the moment we walked in.nFriendly welcoming atmosphere and dog friendly too. With 2 of their own doggies roaming around, both friendly and well behaved! Was a huge plus for us.nA gorgeous garden we choose to sit in the comfy seating pergola area.nThe food was out of the question incredible. Fresh and even catered off the menu for my son. Certainly deserve there award winning title.nnWe are from Cambridgeshire and this is without a doubt the best pub we have ever been in.nThank you so much for such wonderful and genuine hospitality
Lovely pub with restaurant area in the back. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. Food was delicious. Would definitely come back!
The Waggon & Horse kindly squeezed us in for Sunday lunch, and we’re so glad they did. We started with the Tomato & Red Onion Soup topped with fresh croutons, which was full of flavour and beautifully presented. For our mains, we enjoyed the Roast Beef and the Lamb Shank, both absolutely outstanding. We often go out for Sunday lunch, but this truly knocked it out of the park. Every dish was simply delicious.nThe staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel very well looked after. A fantastic experience all round.nIf we lived closer we would be regulars!
Thank you again for yet another fabulous evening. Our party of 14 all thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful food. We had another great choice of menu, plates were cleaned with enthusiasm by all & service was again spot on. We will be back.
