Good shop, range and prices. Glad to see WHSmiths still going strong in Chelmsford. Have few complaints about the shop except that the cafe is not brilliant. I have not visited for a few months now but the condition of the seating was very poor and dirty. Apologies to WHSmith if this has now been updated!
Somebody should update the opening times on the WHSmith website - my son and I were ushered out promptly at 17:30; which is odd when you consider that their website states the Maldon branch stays open 'til 18:00.

Very rude staff, and totally useless. I asked if they had loose pages for a Filofax, and the girl didn't know what it was. Won't be going back there.
Decent sized bookstore, with lots of books and office supplies. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
