Very disappointed wasted £30. Naan bread was literally like cardboard, my lamb dish was smothered in oil and the meat was fatty, one of my main dishes came as a small portion & was incorrect & over all the food didn’t taste nice at all.
Delicious food for very reasonable price definitely an underrated hidden gem and very attentive staff
Pokey little Indian restaurant and takeaway. Really needs modernization or maybe just a paint. The food wasn't at all nice. I had a shashlik which was slimey and bland and a keema nan which was just as bad. I end up binning it. The staff were nice though but I have to be truthful about the food.
Worse Indian I've ever had. Chicken was hard and salty. Very disappointed Don't waste your money.

Went in there as they opened tooked 1hr for them to cook 2 nan breads , was the first time trying and more then likely my last time
Disgusting in every respect. One star purely because you have to select at least on to leave a review. Bahji uncooked, stodgy revolting. Butter chicken no flavour and no sauce. Tikka masala vinegary Chicken pasanda curdled and so much sugar it was beyond belief. Phoned to complain, said they can't refund, my wife said 'but we cant eat it' went away to Manager, offered '£18 of £38 ' refund, ' but we cant eat it!'. Manager finally came to phone, accused us of doing this all the time, we haven't ordered from here for ten years. Wife said I want you to take it back., Manager continued to talk over her accusing us of trying it on. We took it back, manager wouldn't come out at first, but finally did. We asked him to explain his accusation, he didnt think it was a problem because he did in the end offer a full refund. Wasnt bothered in the slightest. Avoid at all costs. Use the Bikash round the corner, far superior.
Pre ordered food via the “Just Eat” app. The restaurant confirmed the order and stated it would be ready for collection by 18:05 I went in to pay and collect by 18:10 only to be told that the food would be about another ten minutes. I was asked to take a seat whilst waiting and noticed the place needs a revamp as it looks like it was last decorated twenty years ago. Food was ready by 18:17 which was over ten minutes late! When I got home the order was correct which was prawn puri which was nice but would have maybe have been better if the puri was wrapped separately as it was soaked in the prawn curry. All the salads were in tiny food bags which didn’t look appetising at all. The chicken tikka was ok. The tandoori mixed grill was ok too. The chicken madras was not spicy at all and it was extremely watery. The keema rice was red in colour and tasted bland. I have tried the place now and I’m definitely not going to try it again.
I ordered a chicken madras for delivery and it was watery. I called to let them know, they simply dismissed it and said that next time it wouldn't be like that. I was dissappinted. I am hoping that the quality of the food improves before it's too late. It would be nice to have real indian cuisine available in ockendon.
