Great little place, food was excellent. The server/manager was attentive and had a great attitude to everyone around. We will be visiting again either as a family or an evening meal and drinks. And the wonderful view of the beach and sea topped it off. Highly recommend.
Lovely food, great view and friendly, helpful staff. Generous sized portions. Others had mussels, which was a huge bowl but I didn't get a photo.
Really quite disappointed with this place. Service was appallingly slow, had to go to the bar to get drinks and to ask for the bill. Tapas looked pretty good but was actually fairly bland. The calamari was so heavily battered it was hard to taste it. The hummus was incredibly bland and unseasoned, as were the meatballs. Also managed to choose the world's most uncomfortable outdoor furniture to sit on... Won't bother going back.
Great friendly family atmosphere bar staff very friendly and helpful amazing food great price also dog friendly only thing left to say try it well worth a visit
Fantastic food and fabulous welcoming staff. I ordered the mussels which were exceptional and I would highly recommend see photo. Other members of my party chose seafood chowder and fish and chips all were delicious! All the deserts did not disappoint either, even if we were already very full from our main courses! If you're in the area this is a must try restaurant with lovely views of the surfers on the beach as well!
Very nice pub located directly at the shore of Saltburn. It's a perfect place to meet up with friends or for a casual family dinner. The service is accommodating and your drinks and food are quickly served.
Popped in today and impressed.served by lovely people.had fish +chips and more like a whale.our lass had some fish chowder and could have fed our whole family!!!Very tasty food overlooking out to sea views.Will definitely visit again.Good access for wheelchairs and buggies.great varied Tapas menu and seems to offer a very good seafood menu.
Good views, decent selection of beers and snacks and convenient for the beach. Not always the best place if you’re not a dog lover
Great food, friendly staff and fantastic sea view!
It’s my perception that seafood tastes better by the seaside. No matter that the fruits of the ocean have been trawled or ethically caught miles offshore before being decanted into a seafood market miles away from your picturesque setting, there’s no denying that the visual, auditory and olfactory condiments do wonders for the plates in front of one. Ditto if it’s a hot sunny day. One could be forgiven for looking at the menu and expecting the typically fare that’s not indistinguishable from a fish bar. Your average pub would struggle to batter fresh fish due to the economics of the frozen alternative. In this Vista Mar pips them all with a specials board. I opted for the mussels and noted small touches such as fresh orange zest in the creamy base that made me think this was not your Deutsche value market mussels in a creamy sauce. Service was as one would expect mid-week but prompt and happy to provide suggestions.
