The Food was very good and plentiful. Sadly it was let down by the lady who served it who clearly had very little PR skills, loud... and her language was appalling. I would not recommend the Village Inn for children or someone who would like a quiet calming meal. It is a very nice place and location and the food nice Sadly if it was not for the lady above We would be giving 5 stars today. Noteworthy details: It is very difficult to comment when you experience bad service on the shop floor
Lovely Inn and lovely pub. Rooms were clean and spacious. Food was good. Owners were very nice. Couldn't ask for anything more. I would definitely stay here again.
Very Friendly atmosphere, and dogs welcome. The Sunday roast was just what we needed at a very reasonable price. We will call in again.Service: 5/5
Brilliant pub lovely food real ale was off but good pint of guiness barman was entertaining as well thoroughly enjoyed our visits will be back
Absolutely amazing!! We turned up late asking for food 8pm-ish with 3, adults, 3 dogs and an 8 year old. Was told we had 4 minutes to order before kitchen closed. We made quite decisions and waited. We was blown away withe food. My daughter said it was the best pasta bolognaise she's had. I had steak and ale pie, cant believe the portion and amount of quality steak that was in it. Mother and husband had lamb shanks which were absolutely lovely. Young bar man was brilliant. So happy we stumbled in :
Popped out for a light supper on the last evening of our 3 night stay in Lynmouth. Greeted by the very unique barman Sean Food took forever to arrive but thankfully we were mildy entertained throughout the wait. Great little place. Good luck with all your endeavours Sean
Small little pub in need of a bit of tlc but food was lovely . Not many pubs around in Lynmouth so this was a pleasant find.Service: 5/5
A very enjoyable stop for a drink and bite to eat. A very pleasant ypung man served us. What made it even more enjoyable, was being able to fuss Wispa, a lovely friendly spaniel.
The meal was good but the surroundings were poor - music too loud, dark and dismal. Few staff and had to wait a while for the meal to arrive. Nearly had to cancel our order as we could not pay by card, no internet! Fortunately we had some cash at our B&B which we returned to get.
Fantastic pub. Very friendly and cosy atmosphere. Food was delicious home made good old fashioned British grub. If I could give it 20 stars I would
