Rooms are a good size and finished quite well. The bathroom could have been a little better out together since the shower leaked on the floor but generally everything was good and comfortable. I arrived a little later than expected the self check in experience is a little confusing. Again I may have been tired but make sure you take note of your room number when you finish checking in. The gym costs an extra £5 which I guess is not unreasonable but it is on the more pricey side of local hotels so could have been included. Also no water or drinks in the room so bring your own. There is a Starbucks downstairs and a restaurant with decent pricing and quality.
The hotel is nice and clean.The gym sauna and swimming pool are perfect for people of all ages. The restaurant offers a diverse menu and is very convenient. Alice at reception went above and beyond to accommodate all our needs, making our experience even more enjoyable. Will definitely stay againRooms: 5/5
Blocked sink, socket not working, and furniture covered in plywood! Poor selection and quality at breakfast. Very disappointed with my first ever stay in a village hotel. Premier Inn is a better option.Rooms: 2/5
Just been for a 90s party night here. Venue is superb, well laid out and plenty of room. Food was OK for what we paid. DJ was poor to be honest, played songs from 00s and not 90s party hits. The live vocalist and sax player was brilliant! A special mention though has to go to the 4 bar staff Hannah, Harry, Cole & Lewis. They do a great job keeping queues to a minimum and always have a smile on their faces, really makes the night much more enjoyable, a credit to the venue!
The venue is truly delightful, bustling with activity thanks to the on-site Starbucks that attracts many visitors. Klaudia at reception did a fantastic job making us feel welcome. The hotel's gym and leisure center are quite popular, and the bar and restaurant offer appealing mid-week meal deals and sports events. We enjoyed a 7 am breakfast.The modern and vibrant decor added to the overall pleasant experience.
We had an Incident outside of our hotel room last night but it was dealt with and the manager working today July 21st was really great and went above and beyond to make our stay better. We really appreciate it, thank you. This is a nice hotel, with a great pool as well.Rooms: 5/5
Just spent a week at this hotel, stylistically the rooms are very nice, but the lighting makes them feel a little dark and dingy at times. Found the menu lacking creativity, and food unpredictable, some portions are great value for money, others you feel robbed. The breakfast also lacked variety, and I don't know if it's a regional thing, but no hash browns with a cooked breakfast? WiFi was extremely unreliable, the connection kept dropping in and out, making it difficult to work, speed was inconsistent bouncing from 200 KB/s to 2000 KB/s.
I’ve stayed at this hotel a number of times and the staff at the gym and reception and bar are fantastic. My issue is with house keeping, basically my son took his chain and bracelet off before going to the pool and forgot he had left it in the room when checking out and it has gone. Hotel aren’t liable as was our fault as we should have realised. Anyway last weekend my boys again left their electric toothbrushes in the bathroom. To my surprise they have gone also. There seems to be a problem either housekeeping are binning everything or someone is stealing them. This is a shame as the hotel is great but it’s left a sour taste in my mouth and we won’t be returning.
Just arrived here for 1 last minute night and hotel is easy to check in and just had food down at the bar and grill and was excellent. Service too was really good and Darren who was dealing with me was spot on. Very polite and made sure everything was ok and made me feel very welcome. I recently joined the health club and have been very impressed with the facilities. I have been a member of many gyms over the years and to be honest when going to look at the gym at Village Hotel was not expecting much, as some hotel gyms are very basic. I was more than impressed with the gym and swimmimg areas. There is lot of choice for classes and equipment to keep a check on your well being. The staff have all been very friendly and helpful when i needed it. It is not the cheapest of membership but i have the view of what price do you put on your health. I would definately recommend.
