The views are beautiful in the evening, especially at sunset. The serving staff were very courteous and the courses were served in a timely manner. Meal presentations were aesthetically pleasing and tasty too. Pricing was reasonable for such a prime location. I look forward to coming again.
I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I had curry goat and rice and peas, it was good and really spicy. This was really nice for me. I do feel that it may have been too spicy for others as such I think a warning would have been useful, only with regards to how hot the scotch bonnet peppers were. A few on my table actually did complain a little about the heat, but the goat curry was so nice that nothing was left on their plates
Absolute trash! I came here for my mums birthday and we couldn’t wait to get out. Service was slow - took us two hours for starters and mains, we didn’t even bother looking at desserts as that would of been another extra hour. The food was extremely over priced and under cooked, our steaks were practically mooing on our plates even though we asked for the medium. We took my mums birthday cake to do at the restaurant, but it was such hassle to even get a menu at this place even though there was only about 5 other people in there we didn’t even want to burden them with the extremely difficult task of bringing out a cake to us. Such a shame as the venue and location were lovely, but I have never experienced anything like it before in my life.
Fabulous place, right by the river with lovely views. The service is excellent with great food and drink selection. I have been here a few times and it is probably the most relaxing bar on the river. I would definitely try the cocktails as they are amazing. The food is very good, with a nice restaurant up stairs and a lounge bar downstairs. Perfect place
My daughter's and family took me here for my 55th birthday. The venue looks very nice great views and clean that's the good points. Got seated and ordered drinks 5 glasses of wine 3 came waited another 10 minutes for next 2. After 20 minutes I asked for menus then the waitress asked are we ready to order seriously we ain't even opened them yet. So ordered 2 starters that took so long to come I was going to eat the table cover. The starters were good. All down hill from there. The lamb was raw the 4 steaks were raw and full of grizzle . All sent back to recook by time they come back the mash and veg sides are cold.the sauces to go over the steak I have no words. We didn't even order dessert as I wanted to get out and go mcds as we're all starving. And for all this hassle they charged us £20 service charge. Thanks for ruining my birthday.
I've walked past this restaurant many times and live locally so was initially delighted to be trying a new restaurant. Unfortunately this wasn't a great experience and we won't be coming back. It was a very quiet afternoon when my wife and 1 year old son stopped for lunch. The restaurant had plenty of free tables and no more than 4 groups of people eating. There were no high chairs available how?? the whole area is families/residential which meant my son was on and off crying still strapped in his pram. The service was initially very quick but when the food arrived after about half an hour, my order was wrong. I pointed this out and after some confusion they assured me my correct order would be along quickly. It wasn't and about 30 minutes later it arrived. I ordered a club sandwich - I have no idea why that took half an hour to make with less than 15 people in the restaurant. My wife ate her lunch and ended up leaving with our son before my food arrived. The food was average, poorly prepared and sloppy. My sandwich fell apart and was oozing in grease. The staff were polite and embarrassed and when I left they said the normal chef wasn't on and it was someone else I think she said the kitchen porter. The menu is fairly decent bistro food but there's far better, quicker and more organised options elsewhere.
The first time I tried to eat here we were shown to a table only to then be asked to move so a bigger party could sit there, left instead of waiting for a new table. The second time I just went for a drink, the waiter forgot about my order and when I chased with another waitress the drink took 30 minutes to arrive. I'll edit this when I finally go for dinner. On the plus side the interior is lovely and the mini beer garden on the shore is really cool.
Very average, though the location of the outside space has such potential by the river! We waited 20 mins for our drinks to arrive, even though the place was half empty. When they arrived the Wine spritzer was warm and flat and the G&T didnt taste like the gin we ordered. Its a shame as ive moved just nearby, and im looking for some nice places to go to. Drinks cost nearly £16 too. Not bad business for half an hour, if you want to look after it.
I went here for breakfast. The staff were very nice and the venue has a great view. However the coffee and food was not good... watery bitter coffee, overcooked dry eggs, cheap boring toast. It was also freezing inside. Wished it was nice.... but it wasn't
Lovely venue and location however service was shocking. 2nd time visiting this place the 1st occasion i thought was a 1 off as it was a big group of us. Lots of confusion about orders and table numbers staff v disorganised and do not communicate from kitchen to front line. Things not available on the menu but not made clear when you order. 2nd occasion was even more of a joke. 30 mins wait for our drinks. Ordered food took 25 minutes to be told what we ordered was not available as the waiter explained no one had gone to the shop!!!!! We re ordered, the food came 30mins later incorrect. We complained to management who was nice and apologetic but didn't offer much of a solution. Bar girl very rude. Overcooked calamari undercooked chips an overall disappointment. Won't waste my time here again
