Compared to other festivals, this one is more relaxed and sociable. There isn't as much drunkenness and drug taking as I have witnessed at other festivals. The location is beautiful and situated right beside the sea, there is lots to do beyond the festival field. The line up was fantastic too.
Has to be one of the finest UK festivals. A remarkable civic achievement, taking place across a huge area by the sea, right in the heart of Portsmouth. Two big stages, countless minor stages, fantastic food poor beer options from large, faceless, generic lager-serving tents, great artists. This year's highlights: Lottery Winners, CMAT, and the sublime Wet Leg. Busted made an appearance. Pixies, Kooks, Razorlight, Arlo Parks, and Lightning Seeds all well worth seeing. An unforgettable three days of joy.
Great value for a day ticket festival. We used park and ride to get there and back, which was somewhat time-consuming, but probably saved a lot of grief.nThis was our third visit to Victorious and we've enjoyed all three. We only do a day, as camping is less attractive than it was 30 years ago.nThe line ups are impressive and access to the stage areas is reasonably comfortable.nExpect to pay around £12 to £15 for eats per person and drinks from the official bars are about £7 for a large can of cider.nCan't wait to see the line ups for next year before deciding which day to revisit.
