Love this place they are cheap and it's always a good night out . Been coming here for years and seen many great acts they have on .
Beautiful building and very friendly staff. Seats in the circle are comfortable enough to sit on for 90 minutes however legroom is very tight and does become quite challenging to remain still. Finding the seats seems to be a slight challenge for people as the seat numbers on seats are either missing or faded, however staff are on hand to help. Located in the centre of Halifax, it is a 10 minute walk from the station and 5 back, the hill is in your favour after! Toilets were clean and plentiful. Other than the seat numbers general upkeep is in good order. Crowd management could do with looking at after a performance if there is any form of meet up, makes it quite challenging to leave!
Went to a Pop up comedy night by Russell Kane. With it taking place in the Green Bar So can't comment on the main Theatre area. However, great night. Lovely place with the facilities being well maintained, Staff were friendly and helpful. Had a great fun night.
Jurassic earth show was ace. Grandson enjoyed it so much. First time at this theatre, what a lovely place. Clean, comfy seats, very friendly staff. Seat raises for children Brilliant idea. We all had a great time.
23/12 Visit a Christmas concert here by brass band! with the local choir. Great acoustics, quaint building, and warm local staff. Fell in love with Halifax!
Parking nearby is impossible without a mobile phone to make calls and send text messages to a parking company. The patience of a saint is also needed... Multistory car park closed off by roadworks on 28th July 2024. Max stay is 2 hours. No good for theater visit.
Love the Victoria theatre, very grand indeed & so well looked after with great shows, very glamorous & so lucky to have in a small town. The ladies loos are way too warm, think it’s centrally controlled so not great & a waste of energy, it’s totally over powering when you enter the ladies toilets. A great show, fab music, great actors & fabulous view from the circle the ice creams were delicious too. Parking ok too which is a plus in a small town.
Good venue. Nice bar, friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful evening, only slightly spoiled by a group of drunken women talking during the concert, however staff were happy to re-seat us, speak to the people causing the disturbance and they didn't return to the auditorium for the second half of the performance.
Can't speak highly enough of Cinderella! What a brilliant production. My 8 and 10yo loved it. The music, jokes and sillyness made the time fly. The star of the show for us was the magic acts, we've not seen a show like this. Highly recommended!!!
Beautiful theatre retaining all its past grandeur. Staff were lovely . Very organised at the bar & my Sister & I ordered drinks for the interval, which were there waiting for us. Prices average & affordable. The show was brilliant. Musicians & singers were superb. We had a very enjoyable evening
