This is a very beautiful theatre with friendly and helpful staff. Just a short walk from Halifax station. There are lots of great bars and restaurants near by. Our whole cast really enjoyed performing our show - The Smartest Giant in Town - here and the audiences were great!
Absolutely brilliant Stylistics show last Tuesday & guess what they become famous a year AFTER I left school !!!nIt really was just like stepping back in the day and even after all of these years and the sad passing & absence of original members of the group were wonderful with their amazing vocal ranges Still a beautiful & well maintaned theatre and a pretty full house downstairs, the bulk of the folk I spoke to were having a ball. Two ladies in front of me were up and more or less as it started & by the end it seemed like the whole audience were either busting their own moves or clapping but just loving the whole experience. If you get the chance to see these guys they're worth every penny + some. Extremely helpful staff, spotlessly clean and a wide range of top shows so if you're not already doing it make sure you start because I saw the likes of Ben Elton, Paul/Pauline Calf, Lily Savage, Paul Merton etc before they were so well know in local theatre so give it a go because if they're good enough for local you might not be able to afford them years later!!
Venue is not made for the capacity and demand of fully stranded sold out gigs.nnWas far too hot, the band had to stop the set due to people in the crowd fainting. The band had to tell security to come in and actually help out. Also the bar queues are about 45 minutes long with many being cash only! In 2024!nnBeautiful room tho and incredible sound. Far too hot can’t imagine what it’s like in the summer.nnProbably an amazing theatre but they need to up their game to able to support sell out live gigs
Absolutely a fantastic place, had a brilliant night seeing The Dualers, will definitely go again
Went to see Rhod Gilbert. Amazing show. The only thing about Victoria theatre is that it is always too hot in the balcony areas and there are too many queues for everything!!
