Freezing, all showers had no hot water. Generally grubby and smelly 4 year old immediately said it smelt bad on arrival, disinterested staff wearing airpods at reception while checking you in.nnI understand there are funding issues but I’d rather pay more and have a useable pool. Our toddler’s lips had turned blue within 20 minutes in the splash pool, got him out to warm up in the showers to find they had no hot water at all.nnWould’ve been helpful to know all showers were cold and pool was below temp and changing rooms weren’t heated on arrival.nnIt was nearly empty on a Sunday and can see why, won’t return.
Great place to take your kids swimming, but the website for booking is not great, but don't turn up without booking because if they're busy, you will get turned away.nWe booked the splash pool because of my kids but I knew what the pool is like. The website isn't clear about what pools are which, who they're suitable etc. They need this updating with better information.nReception staff were great. Pool staff dodnt seem very happy
If you enjoy cold water swimming of an evening then the main pool is ideal . It has been over two months now of extremely low water temperatures and still no improvement, despite it being reported on numerous occasions.
Lovely pool facilities and has been kept up quite well over the years. Only downside is when there is swimming lessons and a public swim they block the entrance ladders and stairs to the public area which makes access hard for someone with limited strength or kids. You could cross over but often it would interrupt the lesson and the staff don’t like it. Also wish the lockers were free. It’s only 20p but when you are already paying for a membership you’d expect it to be included and I always forget to bring the 20p.
Fun swimming at a good price, and fantastic little cafe at the entrance. Also decent selection of swimsuits and goggles to buy etc free parking and reasonable changing rooms
