Went to garage to change my normal tires for winter tires. The rears are bigger than the fronts they mixed up my alloy wheels put the big ones on the front and vice versa. I told them they were different sizes and they said they wasn’t they damaged all four of my rims never used any plastic protection when taking tires off just went metal to metal then laughed and drugged his shoulders when I showed him the damage and took a chip out of one of my new tires with his machine because he was stressed out
Very friendly and honest I brought a grand cherokee jeep summit from vgs they were great from start to finish I highly recommend them and when I am in the market for another car I would definitely go back
Had service and mot done at VGS. Booked on line, very easy and straightforward. Competitive prices with free collection. Arranged for collection and delivery. Very good communication. They called 30 minutes before to confirm pick up time and were punctual to collect my car. Service was done on time, and the car was returned with the logbook stamped, service and MOT certificate. Already used them 3 years running. Very satisfied with quality of work. Will use again. Recommend.
Have been going to this garage across the years but on this occasion had a very bad experience. I was originally quoted £280 for MOT, service and wheel alignment but this ended being more than £400. Apparently the issue was that the “specialist oil” which is just a 0W20 fully synthetic has a market value of over £150 but because it is me they and they were doing me a favour, they have knocked it 50% off so I ended up paying £75 just for some oil which should have been part of the service …. Also euro car parts/halfords/GSF sell this type of oil for around £50 for 5 litres. Please go elsewhere if you can, they obviously have fell on hard times and I guess honesty is just not the best policy anymore. They just want to squeeze as much as possible out of you and lie through their teeth in order to achieve that.
Great garage. Easy to book a service online. They helpfully texted me to let me know what time I could drop my car off. Fast, efficient service. Dropped the car off at 9am picked it up just after lunch. Excellent stuff. Highly recommended.
My car went in for a service 2 days ago, when the car was done I was told they had to use a "premium" oil for my car and charged me £30 more without calling to let me know if this was okay to do. Didn't recieve anything other than an invoice of what I've been charged for, no health check list or anything. The warning lights and service counter haven't been turned off/reset. Called up and someone was meant to get in touch about it. Had to chase it up myself and have to wait to bring the car back in for them to reset them. Honestly, go else where not worth the hassle of getting ripped off and taken for a mug
VGS have a fantastic selection of cars! Easy to work with, not pushy and very accommodating. I certainly would go back for my next car!
Using the BookMyGarage site i booked my car for brakes 13 January. Having dropped off the car and returned home, they called to say the discs needed were different than the online quote and new price almost £90 more. I tried to hold them to the quote seeing as my Citigo i think only has one size for discs, to no avail. I needed the car completed for an MOT. They did the same to me last year on a CR-V. I will not be using or recommending them again, hence 1 star rating.
