A warm friendly welcome at reception at Vets Now Hospital in Glasgow where I took my Labrador Retriever, Finn. Finn received a very thorough examination from a very knowledgeable and friendly clinician who took the time to explain and answer questions. Finn was also put at ease before, during and after his examination. All staff were very polite, professional and friendly. Vets Now location does make it difficult to find patients parking, although they do have parking at the rear, however there are limited spaces. Finn is not very photogenic.
Contacted this emergency vet in the middle of the night as my dog was very poorly. They advised me to bring him in asap. I was made aware of costs and kept updated throughout. Vet David and the nurses were amazing, so caring to Elmer and us. He was kept in for roughly 12 hours and I was called regularly with updates. Thankfully they were able to save my wee dog and he's well on the mend. So grateful to all the staff for the care he recieved. And also the care of us.
We are so thankful to this place for looking after our boy when he really needed it. The amazing staff did not hesitate to do everything required to make him better and get him out of pain. The amazing vet I was too busy bubbling to catch her name put us at ease and explained everything fully for what was best for our boy, and Louise I think that’s her name the vet nurse was absolutely amazing as well. I am completely in awe at the level of skill and knowledge you all have. They were so knowledgeable and he’s like a different dog today. Eddy is so grateful from Sara and Josh
I had a very positive experience given the circumstances. My dog was referred following a cancer diagnosis to have him staged. I was offered an earlier cancellation appointment to get him in, which was appreciated. The oncology consultant Pamela was very professional and kept us well informed, managing our expectations whilst reassuring us we would do what we could, so long as it was in the best interest of the dog. I appreciated the level of being supportive balanced with a sense of having realistic expectations of what our likely outcomes would be. Thankfully, despite our odds, our dog Toby has no further masses or tumours at this stage. We have been provided with a good level of detail into what happens next and advice on how to proceed. Though we are aware his condition could worsen, we have a plan to monitor and act accordingly. I am also thankful that the hospital are happy to reclaim the costs from insurers direct and do not require a deposit or downpayment. All the staff were lovely, everyone paid attention to my dog and acknowledged him which is a sign of a good vet to me and reassured us that any recommendations are in the animal’s best interest Clean and strangely comfortable environment. Though I hope to never be back, I would recommend it to anyone in need.
I have been struggling to find words to explain how grateful I am for the ECC Team at VetsNow Glasgow. They took the absolute best care of my wee dog Ruby for 8 weeks. They went above and beyond for her doing so much research, long hours, on call, checking in on how she's doing on their days off and holidays. The hard work and dedication they showed to make Ruby better was invaluable! The ECC Team truly are amazing and I am so thankful that it was this team looking after Ruby and spoiling her with all the love, care and cuddles Not only did they go above and beyond for Ruby, they would check in on how I was doing during this very difficult time. Ruby sadly didn't make it and the ECC Team sent us a card with lovely words and a beautiful bunch of flowers! Also a massive thank you to the out of hours team, nurses and all staff who took the best care of Ruby and making her comfortable during the night, spoiling her and meeting all her cheeky wee demands! Thank you to the reception team who were always there and so supportive. If your pets are unfortunate enough to need clinical treatment, take some comfort in knowing that if they are admitted to VetsNow they could not be under better care. We are so fortunate to have this team here in Glasgow.
I attended the hospital last week with my 9 year old Jack Russell Ellie when she suffered a flare up of her IBS. Although I was pretty sure I knew what it was I wanted reassurance from a vet as a small dog passing a lot of blood is quite alarming. We were seen almost immediately by a lovely vet who took a very detailed history and examined Ellie. She agreed that it was more than likely the IBS but because Ellie had a very slightly raised temperature she didn't prescribe steroids as would be the normal treatment. She advised to carry on with the routine I was following ie bland food and prebiotics. The £207 fee was a bit steep but I was told before hand so I was prepared. She didn't try to push any medication to bump up the fee and said if Ellie was to go downhill later that night to bring her back and there would be no further fee. Altogether it was a very positive experience, staff were all lovely and the hospital is absolutely top of the range. Hopefully we won't have to have another out of hours appointment but I wouldn't hesitate if needed. I should mention a video call was available at a cost of £24 but I felt in Ellie's case it wouldn't be suitable.
What started as a very fraught day ended with Happy smiling faces. The staff in Glasgow were fantastic from the receptionist, nurses and Annalisa our Vet, we were shown nothing but kindness and professionalism. We were kept updated to our dogs progress all along the way until she was discharged. Thank you to everyone
My cat was taken in last Monday as an emergency and stayed in for 4 days. The care that he has received has been outstanding, it is so obvious that the staff have a genuine love for animals and the communication has been great. Everything was explained with twice daily updates. His condition was difficult to diagnose but everything was done to ensure the best outcome for him. Absolutely amazing people!
Our little Molly was rushed to VetsNow very unwell on the early hours of Tuesday morning. In a complete blind panic, the woman we spoke to on the phone was really reassuring and told us we were dealing with an emergency and to make our way over quickly. They sent a text message with quick access to directions and we got there as fast as we could. On our arrival, a vet nurse, came and got us from the front and took Molly straight through to the back. After assessing her, the vet, John I believe his name might have been, went through a very thorough history of Molly and gave us reassurance. He told us she was very poorly and would need to be kept as an inpatient and was later escalated to the critical care team and ICU. We genuinely thought we were going to lose her. Throughout Mollys stay, the compassion and kindness, for both Molly and ourselves, the whole team showed did not go unnoticed. Even when I phoned at midnight worried sick and unable to sleep, they still gave me an update. On her first day stay, we got 4 or 5 phone call updates with her progress and, as we were unable to visit, they sent photos of our girl. We arranged a quick visit the following day when she was doing better. Throughout the admission, the estimated cost of treatment was beyond our insurance policy and they offered us financial support that we could apply for. There was never any hidden costs and all of her treatments were fully explained to us before they were performed. The team has made the whole process a lot easier and I genuinely believe that they had molly's best interests to heart. Thankfully, our beautiful girl has now come home thanks to the quick care she received thanks to the team. A special thank you to John, Cara, Carmen and Anni-Lise for all of your updates through her time there. Thank you for saving her and doing so with such care, compassion and dignity. We are forever in your debt and eternally grateful.
