Took my 6 month chihuahua puppy there when he had a fall. The vets phoned a few hours later to say he wouldn't make it through the night and best putting him down. Went to collect him as didn't want him dieing there by himself , I wanted him home to say goodbye to his brother and sister.. Payed £ 1000. Got him back home and within an hour of being home and all the drugs they gave him wore off he was running around the house playing, eating, like nothing was wrong. All it was, was a concussion. Be careful on any decisions you make regarding your pets health as if my partner didn't come I would have had him put down as I was made to think he wasn't going to make it though the night, when we picked him up was made to feel like we were being cruel not allowing them to put him down
Amazing. When you are worried and stressed sometimes you just nice compassion. From the moment I walked in, the lady at the desk was so friendly and kind. The vet was amazing, kept me calm. Checked over my dog and gave good advice. Explained everything and took me through steps for the following day. Amazing, kind staff. Who deserve the world for all they do to keep our pets well.
Very friendly and helpful staff; reception, nurse and vet included. Very knowledgeable and caring. Fantastic with animals and well looked after.
Went in with cat as emergency on bank holiday after calling to say he very poorly and diabetic. They advised £280 consult fee plus treatment but nonetheless we went as very poorly and unable to eat. On arrival it was caos, waiting room merged with the pdsa waiting room and no separate cat area from lots of dogs, in my opinion very few animals looked like they were there for emergency treatment and given the cost of our consult this was very poor service. Then told it could be 3 hours was the last straw so we left and chose to monitor ourselves best we can till our vet opens tomorrow.
Used the service twice now, our cat was treated very well, had clear and fast admittance in emergency situations. Given all of the options and kept up to date with progress. Staff really friendly and understanding. A lifeline service.
We had to take our puppy and all the staff were helpful and really friendly. The vet was great with him and put us at ease.
Mixed feelings. Never had to use an emergency vet before so the positive was that our dogs immediate pain was slightly relieved enough to last until the following day having surgery at our vets. The negative was the huge cost for 3 hours of the surgeries time and a sedative. The vet we spoke to was lovely and tried to help keep the cost down, but I have no idea what we actually paid for.
Rushed our little Jack Russell into Gateshead Vets Now on Sunday 14th morning, really poorly passing blood, staff were brilliant with her she stayed overnight and was so well looked after I couldn't ask for more caring people. She is now on the mend thanks to them and the excellent service and advice
The vet who attended to my cat was lovely. Her name was Lisa. She was very thorough, informative and performed all the necessary tests and treatment that my cat needed. Even my cat seemed to like the vet, and she doesn't like anyone. My only issue, and reason for the 4 stars is the consultation cost. Treatment costs, I understand, it's expensive. But to charge £288 just for the consultation alone. That is excessive and the only thing which let the service down.
Our dog was attached by a pack of dogs so we sought emergency, out of hours treatment. The care we received was outstanding and without doubt aided my dog’s speedy recovery. The vet was so lovely, putting both my dog and us at ease. My dog arrived with large and deep wounds which were hard to dress due to their awkward position. The vet did such a good job that when we visited our day vet the following morning, my dog’s wounds were already starting to knit together so she didn’t need to go through the ordeal of having stitches, we were amazed. I hope she manages to receive this feedback, we are so grateful.
