We called on a Saturday evening when our dog Pierre had spent a bit too long in the sun and was recovering but all advice online said to take him straight to the vet.nWe spoke to a Veterinary Nurse called Natalie who was wonderful and both put our mind at rest but gave us key signs to monitor and home treatment to help his recovery.nSimple, straightforward advice given incredibly well which both helped Pierre and saved us all a very stressful experience.nThank you NatalienA few pics of Pierre as courtesy
We arrived very early hours of Saturday morning with our extremely poor dog Blue. Blue was seen quickly and within minutes we were told the worst news ever, we were loosing him fast. The team made him comfortable and when we saw him he looked so calm. Inevitably, he was PTS and we were by his side holding his paws, comforting him. The team were great, they explained everything clearly and were so caring. They dealt with Blue's cremation and insurance paperwork and were prompt to get his ashes back to us along with two beautiful paw prints for us to treasure.nnThank you so much.
Absolutely great vet and lovely receptionist but the prices for after hours service!!!!!! What happens to the poor pets whose owners can’t afford it! Do they have to have pets who only get ill at certain times???nI’m not sure how anyone can justify charging so much no matter how good the service. The trouble is, as pet owners, we are stuck, our pets are everything to us, so we will pay if we can! Even though I’m insured I still had to put a deposit down of £250! As I can no longer work this was a huge hole in my money this month. The insurance companies and vets are taking huge advantage of us and I really hope the next Government can sort this out. I could have left my dog crying in pain all night and seen the vet the next day for far less still silly prices though but how could I let my lovely boy suffer all night! People without enough money will have to though!nI can’t claim benefits as I’m just over the amount to claim, so can’t use PDSA and even if I could I’d have to go an awful long way to where there is one. A shame as you feel you’ve been fleeced yet the team are so lovely.nnUpdate - Seriously unimpressed with the head office! I’ve now done all the work for them and still heard nothing - other than a demand to pay the balance including their admin fee for sorting out an insurance claim, despite having filled in the form for them, the form from my vets, sent the form for my vet to my vet, wrote two emails, made three phone calls and still nothing! I have to pay my visa with the ridiculous £250 I had to pay out, despite having insurance! My other claims were dealt with by the vet and the insurance company - I was not left in a position like this! Disgusting! I’m going in to see the manager at my vet next week to see what alternatives there are if Harvey is ill out of hours ever again.
Slightly awkward to find, but I think that's more Google maps problem rather than the vets.nBut the service was outstanding. Friendly, clean, informative and knowledgeable staff. I wish they were open as normal vets rather than emergency vets, as I'd join in a heartbeat!
WownThe staff on duty on bank holiday Monday when we arrived with our dog having labour difficulties was unbelievable.nThe vet explained every option to us we was updated every step of the way. Due to further complications we was there 5.5hrs the service was unreal. I knew Betty was in the best care and so was her pups. When we returned home I needed to call with further query as she was still in labour back home and again outstanding service.n100% cannot thank the staff on this day enough. Betty is now a very doubtful mother to 4 amazing babies thanks to these guys.
