Last year after much suffering, our cat was finally able to be seen by the vets, due to lockdown not making this possible. He had been bleeding and had a bad open wound that would not heal and was extremely painful. The vet was dismissive, did the bare minimum, said it was nothing but an ingrown toenail. Another vet at the surgery then after many visits suggested that trauma was had and it wouldn't heal so his digit had to be amputated. This came as a shock and we got a second opinion. A student vet at another surgery, immediately on just seeing the offending wound, said that it was cancer and a biopsy they took indeed confirmed this. This surgery and vet never suggested a biopsy either. The bleeding was not normal as we were told and dismissed with and it not healing was not normal, many trips were made unnecessary to this place. How can experts that are qualified not know it was cancer and a student gave it one look, the first and only time seen our pet and identified it? Also, our baby was a boy and they kept referring to him constantly as 'she' and no matter how many times he was seen and we corrected this mistake, this occurred making me question if they even go over records they have. I found this extremely unprofessional. After the amputation, we never went back and this year the cancer returned and took our family member away. The receptionist was always kind. I will never forgive the negligence, lack of care, unprofessionalism and lack of dedication to investigate or the poor knowledge and training. Our concerns were just dismissed, the cancer that is obvious to any trained and knowledgable vet wasn't identified nor did they take it upon themselves to investigate if didn't have answer, you put your trust and faith in these people and most importantly your loved ones life and we would never have known or been told that it was cancer had we not gone elsewhere and heaven forbid the lack of care and treatment he would have been given with the aggressive cancer that Prince, yes, Prince and a male and our FAMILY, would have had to endure, unnecessary suffering and no treatment offered and no fight to keep him alive but the minimal done and just been told to put him to sleep is what would have occurred if case, with no other alternatives or fight to help treat him and keep him alive is what I feel would have occurred from the experience we had when the first time cancer was to be had and nobody identified this or dismissed a wound that didn't heal. Cancer stops wounds healing, is this too complicated and difficult for qualified professionals? lack of empathy and lack of knowledge, pure negligence end off. So, glad got second opinion and once his digit removed we never went back again. When cancer was suspected a second time, the new vet unable to see it but feel it, identified it and gave options and alternatives and tried their best unlike what happened with VetCare, please change your name if this is the service you offer, there is no care but negligence here.
Fantastic friendly ongoing treatment for my 14 year old cat...great atmosphere on walking in, at what is always a nervy time...both for me and my cat...but always put at ease by Vetcare reception staff. Helpful and knowledgeable, and I always feel 'safe' that she is getting the best possible treatment - even when the cause of the illness isn't immediately obvious. I know my beloved cat is ...and always will be...in the safest of hands.
I have been coming to this vets for 15 years with my cat and was very happy at the start however now I only see locum vets. Mostly they have all been very pleasant however I do have an issue with this from a consistency point of view. I always have to start at the beginning of the medical history with each new locum and would much prefer to have a regular vet that I could see. Also there seems to have been lots of different reception staff too which again have been mostly pleasant but again no consistency. If my cat were not so old I would have changed vets to move to one with regular vets. However a special mention should be made of Aleks the receptionist on duty today who was absolutely fabulous and so welcoming and helpful - please don't leave!
We have been taking our dog Buddy to Vetcare in Sale for as long as we've had him 18 months and the staff and service have always been polite and professional. However, it is our most recent trip to Vetcare that has prompted me to write this review. Buddy was having his nails trimmed an experience he finds very traumatic. We had a vet that we had not met before, Chad. He was an absolute star! I can't commend Chad and the nurse on duty enough, they really went above and beyond to ensure that the treatment was safe and as relaxed as possible for Budd and put my mind at ease too. If you're local to Trafford, don't hesitate in taking your animals here. It's the best vets that I've been to.
Been going to this vet for years with my late cat who had to be put to sleep at the age of 19. My 3yr old cat has been going here since a kitten. Aftercare when they spayed her was brilliant and she quickly recovered. Not had any issues here, lovely caring receptionist and vets. I always recomend this veterinary practice.PositiveResponsiveness, Reliability, Quality, Professionalism, Value
I took 3 animals in to the Sale clinic on Monday 19th June 2017, for a yearly check. All 3 members of staff on duty - Jessica, Alice and Matteo were warm and welcoming, knowledgeable and incredibly supportive and caring. Thank you so much, for all your help with a very anxious cat who does not travel at all well. See you again soon and I would highly recommend this practice to any animals who don't like the vet, as these guys are amazing.
Our Doberman Cassius took a really sudden downturn tonight and at 13 years old that could not be good. We tried a number of vets to get him seen urgently but no-one, despite being told he was crying in pain, would book him in until Friday night meaning 24 long hours of pain and suffering for him. As we desperately needed him looked at we searched and no one would help until we called Vetcare whose first response, was bring him here to us now even though it was late in the day. They took the best care of him immediately, were caring, sympathetic, and went above and beyond to do the right thing for our dog and make him comfortable, release him from his pain and looked after my wife and I with compassion and understanding that made one of the most difficult situations any pet owner has to go through manageable. We sadly had to say goodbye to Cassie, but his last minutes with us were made so much more bearable because of the genuine care and concern given to him and the space and time we had to say goodbye. We cannot thank you enough and wish your superb staff at the Sale surgery all the best, Anthony Greensmith.
Vetcare is the vet that the shelter use but I've tried a few vets in Manchester and haven't been happy. Taking my little kitten to be neutered today and I felt awful however they were the most amazing and caring staff with a brilliant attitude and I felt better about it all. Given their fantastic service I've transferred all my pet care to them
AVOID VETCARE SALE! One of the worst veterinarian experiences of my life. Poor care, over booked and under staffed. If care can’t be properly given services shouldn’t be offered. My cat died a painful death and suffered much long than necessary due to the negligence at this vet. I was told numerous times she was fine, despite not eating and throwing up blood. I spent a fortune on blood tests and repeat trips, Through desperation I sought a second opinion and found she had inoperable terminal cancer. Vet care Sale did the bare minimum, insisted on a sedation. There were no suggestions of further investigation, no different approaches suggested, just the same anti nausea medication and a wait and see. After a month of no eating it was a desperate situation and there was clearly no indication of concern. Voicemails for more help left unanswered. A month after she had passed i received a callous email asking why another vet had requested her file, asking why they had lost our business. No questions about the cat or her condition. I can’t change the suffering a little life when through but hopefully you’ll read this and think twice about putting your precious pets life into a money hungry companies hands. **edit in response to the owner. My cat passed away at the end of November. I’m not sure how this can be an issue. She was my best friend and it took a while to process. So thanks AGAIN for another heartless reply.
Very very poor service offered at Vetcare Sale and Vetcare in Worsley, I have changed vets and can honestly say avoid this place at all cost's. They are absolutely shockineg at answering the phone, I'd 9been calling for 3 weeks on and off to get an appointment and no answer at all? Decided to leave and got a call within 1 hour. Should of done it sooner but hardly used, my Dog did have some extensive treatment a few years ago which I reported to the owner as his tail amputation went wrong and burst open and needed a further amputation, on receiving the records since changing vets all I can say is what they have written up in those records that happened is complete cotton bull! From the advice they given to our phone calls they have lied after lie about our conversations around the procedure, had I of known this years ago i would of reported them further and changed vets immediately. Avoid, avoid ,avoid!!
