Not as good as they used to be, sadly. We got a refurbishment done by vertex 10 years ago and the work carried out was at a general standard. However, some of the contractors used by Vertex are extremely rude. They installed a fan unit to the exterior of the building which we where not made aware. This unfortunitly resulted in prosecution as it did not have planning permission in a conservation area. To be fair, they did rectify the problem however it's another unnecessary preventable problem especially when you just spent over 100k refurbishing your brand new store. My Uncle got work done by vertex which was better however they ordered the wrong shelving units which delayed the opening. We again recently got air conditioning units installed by vertex or should I say a third party contractor. They where rude, unprofessional, dirty, left gaping holes in the ceiling, left the back area with all their rubbish which we had to clean ourself. The worst part was all the produce on the top shelves had to be cleaned as the cowboys did not protect the produce by simply putting a cover over it. They where very quick to ask for payment. Mr Craig Pringle who also reviewed his employers above and notably gave it 5 stars is amerturish and if you are getting any work done please ask for Jim or Alex. Anyway, Mr Pringle gave me a £100 discount after a complaint was made about the miss left behind by the contractors. Two months later, I get a bill asking for the £100 back. Try Nabco or Jordan.
